This is a cozy home for travellers who prefer the simpler and quieter side of lodging in Seoul, South Korea.||||THE OWNERS||Jin and Andrew are well-experienced hosts and have received wonderful reviews from guests around the world. I decided to stay here because of a friend's good feedback on their services.||||THE ROOMS & SALA||The house is protected by CCTVs, sensors and an electronic door lock system. You have access to free internet, TV and a workspace with a printer. It is air-conditioned, good for a summer stay. At the same time, it has heated floors, perfect for the winter season.||||THE KITCHEN||The shared kitchen has all the basic things you need. You can store your food in the fridge and cook for your own. Just don't forget to clean up as you go. For self-service breakfast, they provide you with cereal, bread, cup noodles and coffee. ||||TOILETS||The shared toilets are stocked with free soap, shampoo and towels. I had fun testing all the Korean products they had. For your laundry, you can freely use their washing machine and detergent.||||TERRACE||The rooftop terrace has a table, benches and a BBQ grill, best used during the summer time.||||LOCATION||The Hongdae neighbourhood is known for its youthful and artistic atmosphere. It is lined with lively restaurants, quaint cafes, clubs, galleries, fashion shops and creative street art.||||I love how the streets transform at night, with food and shopping stalls taking over the lanes. ||The best part is the overload of good-looking young students. ||||The guest house is one block away from the main gate of Hongik University.||It is nestled midway up a hill, a good 2-3 minutes exercise (best done after gorging on street food on the way home). Sadly, the hike may not be handicap-friendly.||||GETTING THERE||Getting there is easy because both airports, Incheon (AREX All Stop Train) and Gimpo, are connected to the subways that directly passes by the Hongik University Station. The owners offer free pick-up and drop-off in that station. For a fee, you can also reserve a pick-up from the airport. ||||3 THINGS I LOVE ABOUT THE HOUSE||1. The cleanliness and convenience - they clean the rooms everyday and the owners are on-call to help you anytime.||2. The ambiance - it's peaceful and quiet… until a group of noisy guests come along.||3. The area - it's a shopping and eating haven. Everything is walking distance, including the subway.||||I would definitely return to this guest house if...

Read moreLocation wise is perfect, it is just few meters away from hongik university. Nightlife crowd is remarkable with lots of good cheap foods, interesting free/cheap entertainment within the area from the creative art students. This guesthouse is located on the hill, which means extra effort to climb at the end of your shopping journey is required, however it also becomes one thing i liked, with the street painting near the alley and the slightly different scenery from the main district.||The management is super helpful. I made a mistake for not checking my email prior to my visit, they would offered me free pick up service from subway station. But because i did not open my inbox, i ended up dragging my luggage wondering where the location is. However im sure if everything goes as it is supposed to be, i would have no slight discomfort at all. They are nice enough to offer me a private ride to subway station on my last day too. Otherwise i would have to drag my huge luggage hovering around which subway exit should i use. ||And if you happen to like quiet environment and noise minimal housemates, this is perfect. During my visit, the rest of tenants are pretty individualistic, so it really helps in way that one does not need to answer every courtesy questions. But of course it would depend on your experience, mine just so happened to be that way.||The best stay for girls, complete facilities every accommodation has got to offer. It has everything from toaster to ironing machine, even the toiletries are complete in simple way. I only need to bring my own toothbrush and toothpaste, anything else are pretty much provided. The premise is considered pretty new.||I would definetely stay here again if i happen to...
