Want to give5 stars based on the sheer scale of the room and the effort that went into it (amazon). Over all this is the most impressive room I've done (out of 90-100 rooms).
That being said it was not the best room. I felt I should leave 5 star because of how impressive the room is, but the company needs to improve things.
We went as a 6, which was way too many. I'd say no more than 3 for this particular room. The first room is tiny and the clue is something only 1 or 2 can get to. For the rest of the game you only solve one clue at a time which means most of your team is standing doing nothing for most of the time. The last room you could all do something.
A lot of the puzzles, particularly the earlier ones are a bit rubbish (or at least in the English version). They do make sense but it's a bit tenuous.
The rooms at this company all seem to follow a continuous story with a character being common to each which is a really nice touch, would have done a second tonight if available or if staying longer in Seoul.
Also they say it's a 75 minute room, but they actually only give you 60 mins, which meant our timing was off (they don't show a clock in each room).
Another annoying thing is that for a 2130 room they want you there at 2030-2100 to check in. This is after you have to go in earlier to pay for the room as their website doesn't allow you to pay by credit card (you have to do bank transfer). This means that it wastes a fair bit of your evening moving back and forth to the venue
Edit, tried to come back to do another room October 2025. Despite the fact you can still make bookings on the website, this place is currently shut down (presumably for renovations). We showed up for our booking having not had a reply to our email asking to do the same as we had last year, but we walked up to the 3rd floor to find an empty shell of an office. We then went up in the lift and walked into what seems to be their CIA room with everything open and no staff around. Very odd the whole place is just left open but definitely not open despite them still having...
Read moreI would have given it a 5 stars but things didn't work as they should and the staff didn't care.
I have done many different escape rooms in different countries and I was excited to do this one.
We are two people. We couldn't book in advance because the place required a bank transfer that we couldn't do, so we had to go there to book. We booked the Venice one.
The puzzles are linear, so it is good for two or three people. You have an Ipad that helps you with hints when you need them. We got 60% of the game no problem but suddenly we were stuck. We went through all the of the hints for that puzzle. The last hint gave us the actual solution, but it didn't work. We had 16-18 left and access to the actual solution, which was pretty straight forward, but the mechanism clearly wasn't working. We were trying to make it work until the time run out. There was no way to call for more help. When the time was up a guy came in and he seemed annoyed. He tried the solution himself and it didn't work, but he told us "oh, you have to wait one minute". He then run out and rebooted the whole system (all the lights turned off and on and then the mechanism worked). He never came out again. He basically "let" us leave, no goodbye, no picture, no nothing.
It didn't have to be this way. I understand it can be difficult with the language barrier, but we didn't complain, we didn't ask for more time, we were not difficult. Just a bit disappointed because we were clearly stuck on a puzzle due to mechanism failure. We had that before in another escape room. They came in, checked it, fixed it and let us move on. Here was....nothing. I was just...
Read more(CIA Headquarters ) Our experience was seriously diminished by a clue giver who failed to tell us the correct clue at least twice. First time we did the dancing, she gave us the clue to do something we already did. We try to indicate her we already knew that, yet no answer on her side. We try dancing again, she gave us again a clue related to what we already had done. We thought "maybe we interpretate it wrong, maybe is the wrong number, maybe there is more to it" and spend another good chunk trying to figure out our mistake. Overall, she make us loose around 10-15 minutes untill she realized we had the clue she kept trying to give us. At the end of the game she then told, in Korean and in a rude manner according to our Korean friends, that our method of communication when asking for the clue was wrong. She explain them we should have done a very specific sign with our hands to the camera. She never mentioned that during the initial guidelines! Aside of the hint giver doing a poor job, we enjoyed the rooms and the clues. Keep also in mind, the stars at the website indicate the level of difficulty not the rating...Not sure whether that is mentioned on the website, I believe we were a little sloppy in...
