OK if you are reading these reviews you will realise this place is DIFFERENT. The owner Cristina is the reason (with recent assistance from Sylvia). From the street outside you can have no appreciation of the contents behind that wooden door. It is rare that you get the run of someone’s private house (our first night Cristina was away and we were the only residents).||As somebody said below – “Casa Palacio Anima is simply spectacular. Its impeccable service and luxury facilities make the stay unforgettable. The rooms are spacious and comfortable, . Breakfast almost as a family”. ||At the rear is a pool and lounge area well shaded in part.||Breakfast was delightful with wonderful choices. Very fresh fruit, cheese and meats. Excellent choices.||When you first meet Cristina ask for suggestions. Sylvia also gave us very sound choices for evening meals. Before we left we had a quiet around the breakfast table chat with Cristina about how she got to Casa Palacio Anima and briefly on her life – so interesting.||The cleaning lady (whose name I forget) is excellent and has a sense of humour too.||The residence is very close to the town centre – very walkable in under 10 minutes. There is no car parking – we used the underground parking at Plaza del Mamelon which was a short 5/10 minute walk away.||A lovely stay and would recommend to any discerning friends....
Read moreWe had a wonderful stay at Casa Palacio Anima. As many other reviewers have mentioned, Cristina is the most fabulous hostess, & it is her fine eye as an interior designer, that has led to the elegant & characterful renovation of this 17thC former merchants house. The 6 rooms are all individual, with an eclectic, quirky decoration. Ours was Suite Lumbra, a room external to the main house, just across the rear courtyard. It was spacious, with a huge bed, double headed shower & patio doors overlooking the little garden. The whole of the house is exquisitely decorated with a tasteful array of antiques & objet d’art, stylishly blending old with new. WiFi didn’t reach our room but is accessible in the first floor lounge & breakfast room. |Breakfast was a small but delicious cold buffet, kindly served at a time to suit. |The accommodation is conveniently located in the lovely old town, with a varied array of good restaurants within close walking distance. There isn’t any parking, but reasonably priced, secure, underground parking can be found within near proximity. |If you like to break free from standardised hotels & prefer a more boutique experience, this chic little pad will...
Read moreWe had a fabulous stay at the Casa Palacio Anima, it’s a unique residence that definitely earns the title “Boutique” with just 6 rooms, giving an intimate feel and yet the building itself is huge, with high ceilings, beautiful staircases, hallway, amazing art & sculptures….the list goes on! Silvia could not have been more welcoming, such a lovely, engaging lady and nothing was too much trouble to make our 3 night stay very special. Our room was spacious, with a generous bathroom and beautiful antique furniture, all of which perfectly complemented the rest of the building. Outside was a lovely seating area and a medium sized swimming pool….a perfect place to relax and with only 6 rooms, it meant we often had the place to ourselves. Breakfast was lovely, seated around the kitchen and dining room tables with our fellow guests - great food and very homely and the antithesis of a typical modern hotel.|Jerez is lovely and really comes alive at night with that special Spanish family atmosphere - we will...
