IL SICILIANO — Restaurant in Jerez

It’s really rare to find a good authentic Italian restaurant that cooks homecooked food, but I think we may have found one of the best in not only Jerez but Spain itself!. In fact it was so good we reserved a table there for the following night during our trip.

The owners Micky (Michelangelo) and Antonia were so warm and welcoming from the very first time we walked into their beautiful restaurant.

The food they serve is some of the best cuisine we have tasted, all lovingly conjured up by Micky and his team. The depth of flavours in every dish was unbelivable.

From the Lasagna, to the pork, to the beef to the freshly bought fish from the market that day, all were cooked and prepared to perfection.

Not only are we looking forward to returning to Jerez and this little gem of a restaurant, but we can’t wait to see Micky and Antonia again.

A perfect meal and a perfect end to our first (but not our last) trip to Jerez.

The chef apparently has always dreamed of having his own place and with his delightful wife have made the dream a reality, the passion comes through on the menu, which is short, but built with integrity and knowledge.

I consciously steer clear of restaurants boasting extensive menus. To put the kitchen to the test, we requested a pasta dish not listed, and without hesitation, the chef graciously accommodated my request. In a heartfelt gesture, the chef himself emerged to discuss the creation.When the dish arrived, my eyes widened in astonishment at its perfection. It was a revelation, and to my delight, I was informed it might earn a spot on the upcoming menu.

Perhaps the only minor downsides are the slightly intense lighting that could benefit from a touch of softness and some upright chairs, but when the cuisine resonates with such genuine authenticity, these details fade into...

Great atmosphere, perfect location, ALWAYS busy, which means the food is GREAT! AND they’ve got GLUTEN FREE options, too!
