We had a pleasant stay at the Colectia Gran Vía Hotel in Madrid. The location is unbeatable right on Gran Vía, making it incredibly easy to explore the city. The hotel is within walking distance of several metro stations, including Gran Via and Callao, giving you quick access to the rest of the city. It’s also surrounded by a variety of shops, restaurants, and malls, such as El Corte Inglés and the Preciados shopping area, perfect for a little retail therapy.
In terms of sightseeing, the hotel’s location is ideal for exploring Madrid’s historic landmarks. We were just a short walk away from Puerta del Sol, Plaza Mayor, and Royal Palace, allowing us to fully immerse ourselves in the history and charm of the city.
The hotel itself is stylish, modern, and well-maintained, offering a comfortable base for our trip. The staff were welcoming and helpful, and the room was clean, spacious, and well-equipped. The bed was comfortable, and the hotel’s overall ambiance was cozy yet chic. They were kind enough to change our towels on a daily basis. They do provide free coffee and some candies along with it till about 5 PM or so in the evening. Water can be refilled in the bottle ( provided in the room) from the tap just fine.
However, our stay was marred by a significant inconvenience: there was no water for about 4 hours due to some ongoing work in the neighborhood. While the hotel did their best to inform guests, it was still frustrating to be without water, especially in the middle of the day. Fortunately, it was a temporary issue, and everything was back to normal afterwards.
Despite this hiccup, we had an enjoyable experience overall. The hotel’s prime location and the quality of service make up for the inconvenience, and we’d still recommend it to anyone visiting Madrid just be aware that you might face minor disruptions due to external factors beyond the...
Read moreTo be clear, this is an apartment rental, not a hotel. There is no daily cleaning service, and for long-term stays, you should plan on bringing your own extra towels. Honestly, these points were not a big deal and didn't cause any major issues for our trip. However, the reason for my extremely unpleasant experience was a complete water outage on the day of our checkout. Checkout was at 11 AM, but the water was shut off from 10 AM without any prior notice whatsoever. It was only after I emailed them after 10 AM that they finally told me about the situation. This was simply unbelievable. The moment I asked for a solution, they stopped responding to my emails. I believe they should have offered an option, such as a late check-out, to allow us to get ready after the water service was restored. Instead, there has been no further response or assistance. This was an incredibly disappointing and...
Read moreFrom start to finish, my experience at Colectia Stays was absolutely flawless. Cláudia was amazing so warm, welcoming, and helpful throughout my entire stay. She made everything smooth and stress free, which truly elevated the whole experience.
The room itself was spotless, beautifully maintained, and clearly held to very high standards. Every detail, from the cleanliness to the decor, reflected care and quality.
If you’re coming to Madrid for shopping or sightseeing, this is the place to stay. You’re literally in the heart of the city everything is within walking distance. Whether it’s Gran Vía, Puerta del Sol, or Madrid’s best shops and restaurants, it’s all right at your doorstep.
It’s absolutely worth every penny. I wouldn’t stay anywhere else in Madrid. Highly...
