I am not the kind of person that likes to complain about silly little things so let's get that out of the way. No early check in as they were getting the town ready,on checking in to room no towels so I phoned and got towels within the hour well nearly, no hand towels, bit as I said it's not that big a deal. Room stated it had a balcony which it did, but it had 2 air-conditioning units on it no seats or table so useless. He tiles in the cupboard sorry shower room were painted and the paint was coming off the tiles also some unsitely hairs not cleaned away Now for the real problem the flooring in the room was a disaster, there had obviously been a leak or flood from the aforementioned shower room as the laminate flooring was warped and had bits missing from it wich was a big trip hazard not to mention if you had nothing on your feet it could have ripped the skin from the soles of your feet. We tried to put a brave face on it bit in the end we left...
Read moreAbsolutely awful experience – avoid at all costs.||The so-called “suite” was in deplorable condition. The soap dispenser was empty, the toilet paper holder broken, the shower ceiling was peeling, tiles were cracked, and the pillow cover was stained. The towels were tiny, rough, and felt like sandpaper.||I had booked two nights but left after the first (would have left the same night if I hadn’t checked in late). I raised all of these issues with staff and even showed them photos. Their solution? To send someone into my room while I was away on a day trip—something I did not feel comfortable with.||When I reasonably suggested a partial refund, I was told no, because there was “no way of knowing” if these issues existed before I checked in. In other words, they implied I could have caused all of this!||This level of service and disregard for guests is completely unacceptable. I would never stay here again and strongly warn others to avoid...
Read moreStayed for 2 night Sept, 19&20. Great location off of Gran Via. Rooms are quaint but enough for what you need. we got a room with a balcony and it was plenty quiet for the location. We did not have a lot of problems with noise as stated in other comments but we are both relatively heavy sleepers. In Madrid, everything is a little loud if you stay where the action is. My only real issue was the door lock to our room was dead so I had to plug my battery pack into it to get it to function. However, a minor inconvenience for two 30 year old seasoned travelers to Europe. Overall good experience. Also I must mention the cleaning staff was super nice and friendly to us. I saw one comment who said they were rude, but they were laughing with us and we talked. So we would definitely recommend if you want to stay in the action of Madrid. Been here 18 times in 5 years. I'll be back...
