El Malecon De Mogan — Restaurant in Mogán

We dined at this excellent marina-side restaurant, ordering three courses on the recommendation of others at our hotel (who had dined there the previous evening & highly rated it). Bruschetta was ordered for starters, this was very good quality, presentation being good, with the all important overall taste being ‘spot on’. I ordered the lamb & potatoes, my wife ordered the fresh sea bass. Both dishes were top class in presentation, quality of ingredients & cooked to perfection- faultless. For dessert I ordered the lemon sorbet which was just what I needed to 1. cool me down from the Canarian weather & 2. I needed something a bit zingy & fresh - this fitted exactly what I needed - perfect. My wife ordered the ‘chocolate bomb’ - ‘WOW’ this was a visual taste bud enticer before the spoon hit the dish, the rich chocolate sauce melting the outer chocolate bomb casing to reveal the heavenly chocolate iced cream inside - an absolute chocolate lovers delight. Service was exceptional & the attention to detail very impressive. A very big thumbs up to ‘Dani’ who’d come up with the idea of small buffet/ foot stools next to your table so that your bag wasn’t on the floor. It’s this kind of attention to detail & service that puts El Malecon in a bracket above it’s neighboring competitors. My wife and I visited this restaurant on a sunny Fridqy and we were blown away by the quality and taste of the food. We ordered the Tagliatelle House Style and the Beef Tenderloin with Canary Potatoes plus Pimiento de Padron 8/10, and we were not disappointed.

The tagliatelle was cooked to perfection, with a creamy and rich sauce incl strips of sirloin stake that had just the right amount of spice. The pasta was fresh and tender, and the portion was generous. I could have eaten two plates of it, but I had to think about beeing able to walk back to the hotel.

The tenderloin was the star of the show. It was juicy and tender, with a delicious crust that melted in my mouth. The meat was seasoned well 9/10, and the mushroom sauce was flavorful 8/10 and complemented the meat perfectly. The canary potatoes 10/10, were crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they added a nice touch of local flavor to the dish.

The house wines were way beyond average. They were smooth and fruity, and they paired well with the food. We tried both the red and the rose, and we liked them both. The service was friendly and attentive, and the atmosphere was cozy and romantic.

We had a wonderful time at this restaurant, and we highly recommend it to anyone who loves good food and good wine. We will definitely come back soon and try the other dishes on the menu. This is the best tagliatelle and tenderloin in town..so far, hands...

El Malecon de Mogan is an absolutely amazing restaurant nestled by the stunning harbor, offering a dining experience that is exceptional. From the moment we arrived, we were invited by the breathtaking views and the lively atmosphere. The restaurant's charming ambiance set the stage for a truly memorable meal, I ordered lobster meal and the waiter offered for me to go and choose the lobster I wanted!!!

The food at El Malecon de Mogan is simply outstanding. I had the pleasure of savoring their lobster, mussels and prawns. and it was a culinary masterpiece. The flavors were rich and authentic, and the generous portions of fresh seafood made every bite a delight. The menu boasted a wide array of delectable seafood and meats, each one expertly prepared and bursting with flavor.

What truly elevated our experience was the impeccable service. We were created by a bubbly lady which invited for dinner.The staff was warm, attentive, and went above and beyond to ensure that our dining experience was perfect. Their genuine hospitality added an extra layer of warmth to an already delightful evening.

I cannot recommend El Malecon de Mogan highly enough.
