Block House Palma — Restaurant in Palma

We decided to eat here based on the great reviews about the steak. Our waitress was great and the food was amazing (so we thought). I suffered HORRIBLE food poisoning after the fact and it ruined 2/3 days we were in palma. We got the Ms. Solomillo which came with the steak, bread, and baked potato with sour cream. Honestly I don’t know which food item was contaminated, but I was sick without being able to hold anything down for 24 hours, with the after effects lasting a full 2 days. I had been in Europe for over 2 weeks at this point and had not experienced anything like this. It was strange because my parents got the same thing as me and they were fine, however they got food poisoning from another place in palmanova the following day. Odd restaurant, from the outside it looks nice, however the quality of the steaks are poor and asking for a green pepper sauce ended with a brown masala sauce which had a nominal taste of pepper. On sending it back the response was that's all they had from the packet.... We asked for freshly made sauce, not possible: as the chef didn't make sauce:(. The baked potatoes were wonderful. In conclusion the restaurant is the equivalent of Pizza Hut for steak. Pre-made and no variations. If that's what you enjoy, then this is the place to visit. The steak was reasonably priced, and for that price don’t expect any magic. The only reason we gave the restaurant a 2 star rating, is that it is reasonable value. Our waiter was somewhat miserable and we saw him twice when he delivered salad, and when he delivered the steaks. Couldn’t reach him for some plates or any seasoning. Following the meal, he had the audacity to ask for a tip as he referred to it, service fees. I told him he was in attentive, and we didn’t see him at all this evening.
