36 degrees outside with 85% humidity and NO AIR CON! This was apparently due to saving energy however, they’re quite happy to leave all the lights on after cleaning the rooms, electric scent diffuser going all the time amongst many other things that could help with saving energy rather than taking peoples air. We told the reception staff about it and said this is not ok as I have asthma and was really struggling, but we just got a shrug of the shoulders saying well it is what it is. Even though there were many other people complaining about the same thing. It was cooler outside at night than in the room! Rooms are really small, if you want to empty your suitcase then you need to put it on the balcony to open it. The last night the air con completely stopped working and they gave us a huge fan. Nice thought except it was amazingly loud and we couldn’t sleep. So late at night we told them they need to move us so we can sleep a little before an early flight. They did move us to a suite which was actually very nice with a better air quality than the tiny room we stayed in. What a shame we couldn’t move before. Although this bathroom door didn’t close either. The food was pretty basic, undercooked (a lot of pink chicken and raw potatoes going around) and mostly not very tasteful. Except when they smothered everything in coriander and sesame seeds for a “theme night”. There’s no labelling on any of the dishes so it was a lot of guess work and nobody gives a s*#t if you’re allergic to peanuts. Pick them out was the solution by the staff who had no idea what was going on or what anything was. But they were very good at shouting over the top of the guests heads while eating to have a loud personal conversation. The fridge didn’t work and when they “fixed” it, it was still at normal room temperature. If you want privacy when going to the bathroom, better stay alone. None of the doors close so you and your partner either learn a lot more about each other or you can opt to send them to the not so private balcony. Where you can watch an obnoxiously loud Abba tribute band amongst some other very questionable nightly entertainment. The location is just a stones throw away from what we will call German Magaluf. The hotel almost has everything you need, but silly things that could be changed very easily make it less likely that anyone will want to come back and certainly won’t be recommending...
Read moreWe stayed in Apartment 4106 from 30.12 till 4.1.
The hotel is a large 3 star at best. Not up to 4 Star standards.
Not very child friendly. They say they have a kids club but don't.
Kettle in room didn't work, and shut off main socket when plugged in. Had to request a new one.
Toilet was filthy the day we checked in. Nasty.
They don't help with luggage when you leave or arrive, you have to drag it all the way to the outdoor pool area and to the back, then up a flight of stairs, as no lifts at the apartments. Awful.
No structure during meal times, no one to help get seated, buffet looks big but actually it's the same food repeated on different stations. Lunch variety definitely better than dinner. Breakfast as normal.
Lady who worked in reception on New Years Day morning, and on January 2nd in reception was rude to all guests including us. She's a bad representative to have at reception. She has a "not my problem" attitude and was rude to three people in front of us and to us as well.
No value for money.
Teresa at reception was very friendly and helpful.
Staff in the restaurant at meal times were friendly.
Easy walk to the beach. The area is extremely quiet in Winter.
Reception can call a taxi for you and it arrives withing 5 minutes or they can help you book a car rental car. Only thing is the car is not booked in your name or room number. So when the stranger comes with a key, you have to find them or they find you.
Thank you to Joey, the guest experience manager, and the staff who responded to our requests via the app. This was extremely helpful and useful.
I would never recommend this hotel or ever...
Read moreOverall a really pleasant experience! Pro's -Staff, from the bar and waiting to the receptionist and cleaning staff, everyone was friendly, smiley and happy to help. This really made the trip special. -All inclusive, the all inclusive isn't just cheap fizz from a dispencer, you get unlimited branded drinks, and the soft drinks ie coke come in glass bottles, really nice touch. Bottles of wine at dinner are included as well as branded spirits. -Clean, couldn't find dirt anywhere Food was lovely and lots to choose from
Cons: -Room facilities, we had upgraded to a junior suite, however felt that the room was underwhelming. The minibar wasn't included which was disappointing considering how much we had paid for the room upgrade. It was slightly old too and the view was a road and other hotels. -We also had to ask for our extras such as robes and slippers, and were told we would have to pay for these. These were given for free once we explained about the room upgrade but I wonder what else we missed out on. -General facilities, the thing I was looking forward to most was the advertised adults only section with jaccuzi's and a private bar, however this was closed. The sauna and steam room were also on for very limited times. For some reason with the all inclusive you have to sign for everything you get which was weird, an explanation would be nice? Finally, we were not allowed lunch on the all inclusive after we checked out, which is surprising as normally this isn't the case. This is the main reason for the 4*...
