La Cervecería Catalina — Restaurant in Seville

Seems like a great place, with a great vibe, but once you’ve sat at the table it gets annoying. First of all, we had to wait almost 20minutes for our table to be cleaned up from the previous’s guests food, then another 15minutes for someone to come and get the menu (first we’d told a waitress we would like a menu, then she comes to our table forgetting about what we’d asked, then she brings a menu but in Spanish, even though we are tourists and she clearly sees that). Eventually we manage to order some food, but they keep messing up the orders 3 times. The food not great, not terrible. Of course they mixed up the bill as well. Honestly, if it wasn’t that late in the evening and had we been not that hungry, we would not have stayed there any further. They also don’t know english, nor do they remember if you had some special requirement about the food....

Cervecería Catalina goza de una ubicación privilegiada, justo a las puertas del metro de Nervión, lo que la convierte en un lugar fácilmente accesible. Sin embargo, la relación calidad-precio resulta decepcionante. Durante nuestra visita, degustamos las patatas bravas, brioche de costilla ibérica BBQ, croquetas de cola de toro con salsa trufada y tortilla de patata. A continuación, un análisis detallado:

1- Patatas Bravas: El tipo de patata no era el idóneo para freír, resultando en un plato aceitoso y falto de crujiente. Además, las patatas presentaban un tono oscuro, lo que sugiere que el aceite empleado ya había sido utilizado en varias frituras. Un error considerable que perjudica este clásico.

2- Brioche de Costilla Ibérica BBQ: Aunque el sabor estaba bien, el tamaño del brioche fue decepcionante. El plato, en general, careció de algún elemento destacable, dejando una impresión bastante mediocre.

3- Croquetas de Cola de Toro con Salsa Trufada: El exceso de aceite fue nuevamente un problema, con una fritura que dejó las croquetas demasiado oscuras. Si bien su interior era cremoso y la salsa de trufa cumplía con las expectativas, el precio era excesivo para lo que ofrecían.

4- Tortilla de Patata con Cebolla: La tortilla estaba aceptable, aunque le faltaba la jugosidad que caracteriza a este plato tradicional. Aunque no fue el peor de los platos, tampoco logró impresionar.

El servicio fue un aspecto positivo de nuestra experiencia: el personal fue muy amable y atento en todo momento.

En resumen, Cervecería Catalina ofrece una experiencia culinaria que no está a la altura de su prometedora ubicación ni de sus precios. Los platos que probamos no lograron satisfacer nuestras expectativas, y la relación calidad-precio deja mucho...

Stopped by to pick up food for my parents who were sick at a nearby hotel. I ordered 2 mini burgers and a tortilla to go. It took a whole hour to get the food which was largely already prepared. In the meantime, I saw many others who arrived after me receive their food, including burgers and tortilla...

So, given this massive delay and the fact that the food I received was all already cold, I would have given 1 star for service, but the manager personally apologized...
