What a fun surprise!!! We were looking for somewhere open past 12am for dinner and got so lucky that this place popped up! They sat us at 12 and let us know the kitchen would close in 30 minutes. The menu was expansive with fusion options and we ordered the tenderloin, burger, and octopus. Everything was delicious and the decor inside was stunning. They spoke enough English to help get us through the dinner which was great (thank you for being so accommodating) and we finished too late to get dessert, so we’re planning to go again soon.
Ratings: Burger - 10/10 the beef was delicious and everything came together nicely. Patatas we’re lightly crispy and very fluffy inside
Tenderloin - wow yum!!! 8.8/10 - beef was a little gamey but delicious, had a chew to it so it wasn’t as tender as I’d hoped. It was served with mushrooms and fois which was also very good. But the mashed potatoes were heaven!!! Whipped in plenty of butter and so fluffy and perfect, it was the perfect accompaniment to the tenderloin. I really enjoyed this, hopefully I can get a smaller portion of the fry aged ribeye next time.
Octopus entree - 8.5/10 - very tender, Smokey and charred. We loved it. It was light and served with chopped veggies. It could have been served with a better sauce to accompany the ocean taste. We probably wouldn’t order it again because we’d want to explore other options.
We returned the following night for dinner once more. We had a mixed experience on the food.
Lamb leg - 10/10 it was very big and very delicious. Lamb was succulent and almost never ending, and the veggies were a light touch and good complement.
Wok Chifa - 1/10 it was extremely salty and I had to send it back, I ordered a different noodle next and asked them to lower the salt content. Noodles were thin and chewy, duck was slightly burnt and very chewy. Could not single out the veggies, or get over how salty it was. I tried to eat it, but couldn’t so I sent it back. 😞
Wok Soba - similar conditions above, salty and chewy noodles, I ended up taking the rest to go. I think it’s best to order other items like tapas and surprisingly, they had a very good burger. I’d say to skip the noodle dishes overall, or ask for some...
Read moreAwful, awful, awful experience, we are still in disbelief. Over the past several decades we have lived between Manhattan, San Francisco, Paris, Montreal and São Paulo, and we dine very often in restaurants all over the world, and have never experienced a customer service alike.
We arrived at the restaurant with our two small kids (4 and 7) at 6pm. At that time, there was only one table occupied in the restaurant.
Ten minutes later, we ordered 4 dishes (including one with chicken that was supposed to be dinner for our kids). About 20 mins later, we got one of the dishes (a simple green salad).
In the meantime, some other customers came in, but the restaurant was never even half way full.
One hour later, the kids obviously agitated and starving, we ask our waitress about our other dishes. She went to check and said that there was a problem. Still nothing. No updates, no excuses, nothing.
One hour and twenty minutes later, we ask again the waitress, and after no updates, we decided to just ask for the check, but we wanted to also speak to the manager. She went to talk to the manager, and apparently he (or she, we did not see who that was) said that they DID NOT HAVE TIME TO TALK TO US. Just like that. The waitress was extremely apologetic, but after hearing that, we were obviously in disbelief. Well, we paid and left.
We understand that the kitchen can run into issues and/or misunderstandings sometimes, but a manager who apparently does not have time to talk to their customers (a family with two small kids) when there is a problem, especially when they were obviously in the wrong (and in a restaurant was not even half full), has no business working in a restaurant and serving customers.
I wanted to note that at no point we were rude, disrespectul or obnoxious. We were nice and extremely patient during this whole ordeal.
That was our last night in Seville, and we wanted it to be great, but instead we were left with a bad experience.
However this doesn’t reflect our overall experience with Seville, and with its people who are nothing...
