From the very beginning, the experience was disappointing. The staff member who greeted us was rude. I ordered a half-and-half pizza with my daughter — one half with ham and mushrooms, the other half with ham and pineapple. When placing the order, the waiter said it was no problem.
However, when the pizza arrived, the pineapple was cold, watery, and just thrown on top. I lifted it and found that underneath — along with the ham — the pizza was fully covered with mushrooms, as if the chef forgot it was supposed to be half-and-half and tried to cover it up with ham. On top of that, the bottom of the pizza was completely burnt, black like charcoal.
But that’s not even the worst part. When I politely pointed out that one half was supposed to be without mushrooms, the waiter rudely told me to “just pick them off.” I replied that I wouldn’t have ordered it without mushrooms if I was going to pick them off myself, and he sarcastically said, “The chef did you a favor by giving you more.”
Overall, a very poor experience — both in terms of food quality and...
Read moreFirst night in Valencia and we were staying next door. From the reviews it should have been perfect. My wife has dietary issues, but is happy with fish. The wine list is small, so we asked for advice. The advice was house wine or the most expensive. No attempt to explain what the wines were like. We asked again and got a very curt reply. We almost walked out. Pity we didn’t! We ordered the house wine. Nothing special.
My wife ordered salmon. I ordered pizza. Salmon was over cooked. Even the smallest Spanish restaurant cooks fish really well. Pity the Italians haven’t learnt how to do it. Pizza was OK, if a bit soggy in the middle.
Italian restaurants are ubiquitous in Valencia, hopefully some of the others are better. My advice is to stick with the Spanish! There is a great one just round the corner, with staff who are happy to explane their wines and give you a taste of the house wines...
Read moreWe went here for late lunch and thanked God they're open even if it was past lunchtime.
The staff who assisted us was friendly and attentive, we ordered 3 pizzas, and drinks
The waiting time wasn't bad; they served the drinks first as per usual, and our pizza came one by one before all of us had our order.
The size was good and even suitable for sharing depending on the menu for the day; they have a promo depending on the meal. Some of our pizzas are part of the promo where you can have drinks with it for the price of 10+ €, which is not bad at all. I think we paid more or less 40 € for 3 pax including drinks.
The taste, I must say, love the crust, and the freshness of the ingredients, though, can be too savory for our tastebud.
Nothing much WOW factor but overall a good place to go for pizza, especially if you're a big fan of pizza within the central part of...
