Read moreThe room was super spacious with high ceilings, making it feel airy and bright. The bathroom was also large and very functional. But it’s not just the room—the entire building was spotless! We even had our own rooftop with an incredible view. We stayed for five days and never even left the Fort area—everything, from top-class restaurants to cozy cafés, was within walking distance, so we didn’t need a tuk-tuk at all. The people were amazing—always kind and smiling. Next time we visit, we won’t even look for another place; we’ll definitely stay here again. 100% recommended! My only minor criticism about the room is regarding the shower curtain. It's a small issue, but I wanted to mention it as a suggestion: the curtain is a bit old and short, causing water to spill outside while showering. We definitely wanted to stay at Galle Fort and soak in the history and breathtaking views the place has to offer. Fort De 19 Villa turned out to be a pleasant surprise, as we did not have a big budget to splurge. The villa is close to the Rampart Area of the fort thus making it closer to popular watering holes like Peddlars. You should also try the Popular Kothu Parota from the Military Welfare stall near the villa. The bed was very cozy and the room had an old world aura to it....the Balcony with tiled seat is one of the most unique bits we've seen in our travels across many countries.|A TV in the room and better water pressure would surely be appreciated.
