Nisala Guest House — Hotel in Galle

Honest review here, family are lovely, but as soon as I was back from dinner, I was pounced on with a 'you pay now.'' Get the feeling some people may not have paid in the past. The room is clean and was given a couple of blankets. The air con is good, but there are a few negative things about the property. The noise is terrible its 4.30am now, but last night, we were awakened 3 times by something that sounded like a noisy washer filling. The stairs are lethal, as are the 2 great pillars |either side of the bed, which I came close to knocking myself out on in the night. The other guests arriving back late also disturbed us as our room was right in front of the stairs. I would have to say I would not return here im afraid, really hard matress made for an uncomfortable night. Good location just...

We stayed in Nisala Guest House for 3 nights. ||The room was very nice: ||- king-sized bed, AC, fan, some hangers, a low table, a mirror, night stand||- a big bathroom - toilet and shower that were enough apart ||- a table and two chairs in front of the room ||- a small balcony||- a roof access - to dry clothes||The hosts were very accommodating and kind - ready to help at any time. ||Breakfast and dinner were not included - but could be ordered and ||What we missed were some shelves or an armoire. Beautiful homestay with a wonderful family! Rooms are clean and all have air conditioning and mosquito nets. We stayed in the smaller of the rooms but it was comfortable and quiet.
