We’ve been lucky enough to stay at The Sun House on a few occasions now (May 2024, Jan 2025 and Apr 2025) and each time has been equally special. Most recently, we hosted welcome drinks there for all our guests ahead of our wedding and it couldn’t have been a more perfect setting!||There’s a quiet charm at The Sun House that’s hard to put into words. The rooms are beautiful, with timeless and characterful interiors. You feel a world away from the bustle of Galle Fort, while still being just a stone's away. The beaches of Unawatuna and Ahangama are also close by making it a brilliant base for exploring the coastline.||The team are incredibly warm and welcoming, always going the extra mile with thought and care. And on the night of our welcome drinks, they worked tirelessly behind the scenes to keep the drinks flowing, even when the weather threw a curveball!||Every time we’ve stayed, the food has been consistently delicious. The breakfast hoppers are genuinely next-level, and I don’t think I’ll ever enjoy them anywhere else quite as much. Whether it's a lazy lunch and glass of rose around the pool or dinner in the restaurant, there are tasty options to satisfy every taste.||There’s a certain understated magic about The Sun House, and we feel so fortunate that it played such a meaningful part in our wedding weekend. Thank you, Sun House. See...

Read moreA lovely visit to The Sun House Galle.|A 15 minute walk to Galle Fort or a quick Tuk Tuk ride. The sun house has lots of charm and it was a tranquil stay. The food was of a good standard, the staff were attentive and we were upgraded to a room where the bathroom overlooks the monkeys in the trees. This was the highlight of our stay here. However we were told it was going through some renovations as it had been empty for a couple of years and this showed particularly in our bathroom whilst big it lacked opulence it had stains on the sink unit and shower floor which could have done with polishing out and a wooden toilet seat which is not hygienic. We had an issue with no water but this was fixed very quickly and the management were very apologetic and kept us informed.|On departure our payment couldn’t be found and took some time to sort out with us having to prove our prepayment and so this was a bitter end to a...
