Brixia Cafe and Guest — Hotel in Galle

I'm writing this super late, but we visited brixia in feb'22.

Upon arrival, we were greeted with genuine smiles and a warm embrace, instantly putting us at ease. The hosts (Jinendra and his wife) went above and beyond to ensure our comfort throughout my stay. They took the time to provide a comprehensive tour of the property, showcasing its unique features and amenities. They were incredibly attentive, making sure I had everything I needed, and were readily available to answer any questions or offer recommendations.

The place itself was an absolute gem. The attention to detail was impeccable, and it was evident that the hosts had put a great deal of thought into creating a cozy and inviting space. The decor was tasteful and reflected the local culture, giving the place an authentic charm. The cleanliness was exceptional, with every nook and cranny meticulously maintained.

What truly set this place apart, though, was the personal touch provided by the hosts. They not only shared their extensive knowledge of the area but also went out of their way to make me feel like a valued guest. Whether it was preparing a delicious homemade breakfast taking requests, sharing stories over a cup of tea, or providing insider tips on hidden gems to explore nearby, their warmth and genuine care made me feel like I was visiting dear friends rather than staying at a rental property.

It is evident that the hosts genuinely enjoy what they do, and their passion shines through in every interaction. They have mastered the art of hospitality, creating an environment where guests feel valued, comfortable, and part of something special.

Very central yet very tranquile place. The rooms were really clean, up to the corners, and had a nice design. I was working in the hotel industry for many years, so I have an eye for details, but here I couldn't find a thing that I'd change. We stayed in one of the Deluxe rooms, and decided to extend our stay right after check-in. (We were lucky, as they could still give us the room for the 5th night.) They helped us with planning our day, laundry, renting a scooter, our special dietary requests, everything. We felt welcome from the first moment. Employees are engaged, and owners also work hard to make your stay perfect. Their attitude to life was very inspiring for us. Enza is an amazing cook, I recommend you eat in the guesthouse at least once. They convinced us to visit a nearby beach we had not thought of, and it turned out to be one of the most touching experiences we've had in Sri Lanka so far. 🐢 I cannot talk only about an accomodation, as it was more than that: the overall experience was even better than what we expected.
