This hotel is in the old town which is cobbled streets (ladies don't wear heels!)full of wonderful restaurants shops and cafes. |It is not near the train station so you need a cab otherwise a longish walk!|It's a very beautiful Area.|Extremely near the Palace so great from that point of view.|Christmas time was very busy with tourists a slightly less busy time would have enhanced the experience. |During restricted hours No cars are allowed into the area so you have to walk to the main road for transport.just a few minutes. |Wheeling suitcases along cobbles is challenging and take a sturdy suitcase otherwise you may find wheels get damaged!|On arrival make sure you ask for ear plugs we regretted not asking this as we had 3 sleepless nights due to very very regular chiming of church bells which is right next door. |The bells chimes 10 times in an hour plus the hour it was!!! It's a lot!! |I would have thought ear plugs should be in the bathroom as a matter of necessity! |The staff are very nice especially the mature lady who serves in the restaurant so smiley and helpful.|The breakfast is delicious couldn't wish for better!|Shame hotel does not have a bar but apparently spa is very nice!|With hindsight of cobbles and bells I would stay again. |This hotel is very unique full of character and gave us a memorable stay.|Stockholm is a favourite city that everyone...

My husband and I visited Stockholm for our honeymoon. Overall very cute, comfortable hotel with a decent breakfast. Great location too.

We did have a bit of an awkward situation at the front desk however regarding their laundry service. They charge $10.00 USD per shirt / per pants / per any 1 piece of clothing to wash. We were already skeptical about using their service because of cost but decided to do because of convenience.

Sadly we were not able to use the service because we were 10 minutes late to their cut off time. (9:10am vs. 9:00am). The front desk was not friendly to us when we asked to do the express service noting it was an incovenience to them. We then asked if they had a suggested alternative for us to get our laundry done to which they promptly said "no" and looked away.

We ended up going to the laundrymat that day. Not a fun way to spend vacation but had to be done. My basic feedback here is if someone asks you for help and you don't know the answer, open your computer browser and try to help versus blowing...

We stayed five nights at the Lady Hamilton Hotel between Christmas and NYE 2024. We selected the hotel for its location and it really can't be beat - right in Gamla Stan but around the corner from the main pedestrian fare. It is immensely walkable to all the sites. And because Gamla Stan is car free most of the time, we found the location to be quiet and restful. The rooms have a real charm - antiques and folk art make the spaces warm if quirky. The rooms we had (large doubles) were enormous, with modern bathrooms and lots of seating. Ample storage for clothes and luggage. Breakfast is lovely with lots of choices served in a slightly 'less' decorated room (not a problem at all). It can get busy around 8:30 but was a peaceful start to the day at 7am. We didn't use the sauna but it is available. The staff are warm, friendly, helpful and available 24 hours a day. We had such a lovely stay and highly...

I stayed at the Lady Hamilton for 5 nights. Overall, I think it was a good place to stay upon arriving in Stockholm. Typically small rooms and expensive like every place else in Stockholm it seems. The area has tons of good restaurants and cafes and is completely full of tourists all day long. So if you're looking for a quieter experience I would not stay in Gamla Stan. Free coffee and tea are provided in the lobby. Breakfast was delicious and plentiful. The front desk staff was usually very helpful. Beds were comfortable. Enough pillows were provided. TV has chromecast. Only thing I didn't like was the pillows smelled like they needed to be washed and the hand soap and body wash were full of chemicals and smelled absolutely horrible. Yuck. Also the room cleaning wasn't thorough. Do be advised that the church bells ring every half hour or so 24/7. And the street is very busy so bring earplugs and a sound machine.

Lady Hamilton Hotel, the place we stayed at Stockholm, is the most unique boutique hotel I have ever been in. Every corner of the place is decorated like a museum or gallery, and their breakfast buffet spread which offers traditional Swedish stuff were the best I've ever had. Other selling points include their location at famous tourist spot Gamla Stan, with Nobel Prize Museum, medieval church Storkyrkan and souvenir shops just a few steps away, and their friendly and accomodating staff. We also had the chance to try the sauna which is free but need to be pre-booked. Highly recommended for those planning to visit Stockholm. More ideal for solo travellers and couples, not sure how big the family room is.

Lady Hamilton Hotel was a lovely place to stay. The rooms are unique, and the hotel has such a charming character. The rooms were comfortable and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. The hotel is in a great location near a lot of sites, and it's very easy to get around from here. The only drawback is that if your room is facing the front, you do get quite a bit of street noise, which can be an issue if you are a light sleeper. The breakfast offered a large variety of foods and has something for everyone! The hotel also has free tea and coffee available for guests. Very nice place to stay and really recommend it!
