What an absolutely magical place set high in the enchanting Swiss Alps. We stayed in a two-bedroom duplex apartment, with a large terrace facing the Eiger. It was more than enough space for three adults and a teenager. Nicely equipped kitchen for when you want to make a meal. The hotel also offered a very delicious breakfast, my favorite were pretzel croissants. ||It's not the easiest walk to the mountain, however, you can get the firstbahn lift in about 10 minutes by walking. I actually took it as a little challenge to get me in shape! However ,none of the smaller hotels that line this road are. But once you adjust to the bus system, it's very seamless getting in and out of town and getting to either the bodmi beginner area or any of the main lift areas. And the buses are free. Grindelwald is a wonderful, authentic Swiss community, with plenty of great restaurants, bakeries and shopping. It seemed a little more authentic or pabs local is a better word, than Zermatt (which we also really loved). Definitely not as upscale, you won't find any Rolex shops on the main Street in Grindelwald.||I'd also like to add the owners are a wonderful couple, everyone at reception was excellent and the housekeeping staff were also excellent. They had a very easily accessed ski room to keep all your stuff as well and offer shuttle service for 10 francs. It was a fairly easy and straightforward trip from Zurich, we picked a train line that had two stops, and essentially takes you right into town. Skiing was great especially for me, I will warn you if you're a true beginner, who doesn't ski a lot during the year, there is a significant difference between what the Swiss consider beginner and what the US considers a beginner trail. Quite frankly, it was a bit too much for my crew, and instead they discovered a wonderful new sport, sledging!...
Read moreIf you are looking for solace and tranquility then Grindelwald in Switzerland is the place. And in Grindelwald, Hotel Gletscherblick just provides you with just that. It's right out of a novel book. The hotel is an artist's and photogrpaher's dream location. Check the photos from my room and photos of the vicinity. Though its a bed n breakfast, they have provided a huge kitchen with dinning area for guests to cook and eat through the entire day and night. Free fruits, tea, coffee and croissants available eight through the day. Besides this, its only 15 min walk to one of the most picturesque places called Grindelwald First frim the hotel. Though Grindelwald First is known for its zip line, dragon flight, cable cars and cliff walk.....its got the most scenic lake called Lake Bachalpse. The treck to the lake is extremly scenic and should not be missed. Please see attached photos. Also, there is the famous Tobaggan ride very close to the hotel, not more than 15 min walk and one can have a very romantic dinner in the cable car late in the evening. The walk from the hotel to Grindelwald station waves around scenic mounatins and small cottages and shops. Not forgetting the town Church with the sweetest bells. I am uploading pics and video of the walk, along with the ringing of the Church bells...plus images of the cottages and Grindelwald station. Lastly, but definitely not the least - the hospitality of the entire team was the best in my trip of Europe with no exaggeration. Espcially Michael and Rafaila were the best hosts one could get. Michael treated us as family and we felt one. I would definitely recommend this...

It's a terrible accommodation to make money as a tourist. It snowed so much today that I couldn't come up because my car slipped on the way up from the corner. Unfortunately, it didn't start due to lack of factors, and even though the snow removal car damaged our car and asked for help, he told us to call the police directly and repeatedly said, "Reception." The way to buy urea is to go to Grindelwald Interlaken, and I thought it was too much to ask them to take the train on foot to help foreigners a little. The car was damaged by a car, so I had to pay with our money, and if you had called the police, I could have been reported and charged for expenses. I think it's really bad for someone who does this while making money for travelers. I'm a influencer who travels a lot in the world, and when I go back to Korea, I try to upload this part to various channels and I don't think I'll ever come back. Of course, they would think that you don't have to be that kind of person.
I went back and forth on this hillside dozens of times on a snowy day today. I was coming up later and...
