Service||On arrival in the rain, the hotel staff brought two umbrellas to shelter us from the taxi into the hotel. On our return from dinner still in the rain, even the manager brought out the umbrella to shelter us. We were given very good advice to take the bus back to Taipei instead of paying for the car on New Year's eve as the train tickets were sold out. The bus journey was an hour long and the ride was smooth. The next morning, when I enquired about walking the trails at Linmei Shipan and Wufengqi waterfall, I was pleasantly surprised when Miss Lin informed me that the hotel could fetch us there at 9 am. She also told us not to worry about rushing back to check out at 12 pm as it was drizzling and she was concerned about us walking safely. ||||Room||We stayed in 1009, the family room. It is modern with the cute night light. There are free minibar and capsule coffee machine in the room. Soaking in the bath with the music from the bluetooth audio was such a relaxing experience. However we did not use the small balcony after the bathroom and thought that instead of the balcony, the space could be used for a bigger bathroom. We had a good night sleep.||||Breakfast||We chose the earlier slot at 7 am for breakfast. My husband, who is vegetarian, was so pleased with the food available for him such as tomato-based spaghetti, sweet potatoes, salad, cooked vegetables and a selection of bread. There are much variety to have a yummy breakfast.||||Food||There is a 24 hour snack counter with free tea, coffee, fruits, ice-cream, yoghurt and snacks. Games such as cards, mahjong, boardgames are also available for borrowing. There is a great gift shop too. ||||Location||It is walking distance to most places such as the bus station (less than 10 mins), foot bath park (5 mins), train station (10 mins), food street ( less than 15 mins). Jiaoxi is a really touristic town as the attraction is the hot spring bath. In this north eastern side of Taiwan, Jiaoxi has tall buildings due to the numerous hotels here as well as the many cafes which are attractive to the younger people. We could explore much of Jiaoxi as Vasty hotel is centrally located. The Christmas lightings across the road from Wellspring by silk hotel (round the corner from Vasty hotel) was unique and lovely.||||I am very thankful that I chose to stay at Vasty hotel as it enhanced my experience in Jiaoxi. The lobby is pleasantly decorated in Nordic minimalist style. I would strongly recommend staying in this new hotel while visiting Jiaoxi. Oh, they even gave the guests a farewell gift-a sweet...
