Aeris International Hotel — Hotel in Taichung

Stayed here for a couple of nights just after Christmas. The hotel is a bit away from the city center but luckily we've got a car so didn't mind.||||The hotel is massive with many rooms. The room is actually pretty good, clean and spacious.||||However, the service we encountered was not the best and the breakfast was only average at best. Breakfast was actually included in the room which is good. There were 2 types of breakfast we can choose, a set breakfast or buffet breakfast. You can also choose between 4 types of set breakfast, like Western, Japanese, Chinese and vegetarian. For the first day, we chose Japanese set breakfast. However, when they were delivered, all the orders were wrong. The waitress said they can't change it as they were done. Checking with the front desk was not use. So we ended up just having the buffet breakfast. There seems to be a lot of choices for breakfast, but unfortunately the food didn't taste great and most were cold, even with steam coming off it. |Booked via Agoda for a family travel trip of 22 person. Booked a variety of rooms from Twin, Double as well as their Quad rooms. Rooms and bathrooms were well maintained, new modern looking and looked as close as their images on their website. No bathtubs but it didnt bothered us. Had a great and comfortable stay with a decent breakfast spread. Front desk was also helpful when we requested for an upgrade from Double room to a Quad room at additional NT1000. There is nothing interesting in close vicinity other than a foot massage parlour which opens to 2am which is about 10min walk away. The room is clean and comfortable, and the bathroom facilities are also very complete. The air-conditioning blower is very quiet and cold; besides, the location is very close to Yizhong Street. The most important thing is the price is not very expensive. The breakfast provided is also very diverse. But the place which we use breakfast is not very large.
