Booked a table for three and requested a window-side table two days ago. The staff agreed. When we arrived at the hotel, we were taken to a noisy ballroom instead of the Cantonese restaurant, which, in the photo, is more properly decorated. The waitress told us that they closed the Cantonese restaurant and the Sichuanese restaurant and moved all the guests to a ballroom during the holiday. It’s fine that they make such arrangement during COVID-19 pandemic, however they should have told us prior to our arrival. I personally don’t enjoy this kind of environment, have I known that we would be dining in a ballroom instead of the restaurant, we would have cancelled the reservation.
Most waiters and waitresses were fine but I saw one waitress throwing a napkin onto the table next to us when she was walking. I wasn’t expecting this kind of attitude from a waitress working in a Michelin-recommended restaurant.
Food was fine but not impressive.

Read moreone of the worst experiences at a 5star hotel restuarants. We ordered three ducks for a table of 12 and were strongly recommended against it, saying it would be too much, when we insisted they disregarded our request upon three different phone calls. Needless to say, not enough duck. The food was slow to order with one dish coming to the table at a time, with 12 hungry people it was not a pleasant experience. The servers did not put in our full order and we ended up getting dishes with our dessert. Upon paying the bill, I had told the manager (and given her my card) to charge it to me but the manager Wang (王) failed to tell her staff and the bill was brought to the table. Over priced, poor quality food, small portions and bad service. I rarely give bad reviews but this was disappointing to...
