My 11 year old daughter and I had a wonderful relaxing one night stay, Friday evening to Saturday noon, at Beitou Hot Spring Resort. We reserved the one night stay with breakfast and dinner package. It was our last few days left in Taipei and we wanted to relax before heading back home.
The Beitou Hot Spring Resort was super easy to find. A 5 minute walk from xinbeitou metro station. When we arrived, the hotel agent offered us a free room upgrade. We were very delighted with the upgrade and all the amenities (tooth brushes, razor, comb, slippers…) that were needed were provided in the room. The room was nice, clean and spacious and the 2 hot spring baths were huge! There’s also a separate shower room and a bathroom equipped with a bidet. They also provided the yukata/pyjama robes in the room.
For dinner, they gave a selected menu for you to choose from. We selected a steam fish set menu and a hot pot meal. It was pretty good and we were really full. Breakfast buffet was alright. The selection was a bit limited. There are other restaurants close by the hotel if you do not want the breakfast and dinner package, but we just wanted to relax and enjoy the resort.
We wanted to use the public hot spring baths. You are permitted to enter twice during the day. We used it the first night after dinner and the morning after breakfast. Opening hours are 10am-10pm. You have to bathe nude in this public bath which we didn’t mind. My daughter did find it strange to bathe nude with other strangers, but she quickly adapted. They provide a locker with 2 towels, shower cap and cotton swabs. You have to shower before you enter. You can choose to sit down and shower publicly or shower privately in the shower stalls. Shampoo, conditioner and body soap are provided. There is one large jacuzzi bath, one large hot bath, one small cold bath, a steam room, a sauna and a resting area. It was not too busy which was great for relaxing. We really enjoyed the jacuzzi where the water temperature was very comfortable to stay in for awhile.
We only ended up using our room’s private hot bath as a foot bath to relax. Wish we had more time to enjoy it.
We were very satisfied with our stay at Beitou Hot Spring Resort. We would highly recommend to stay here even in the hot summer. It’s a nice little escape from...
Read moreI chose the Beitou Hot Spring Resort because of the many positive reviews on TripAdvisor, and I was not disappointed. Excellent location, a few minutes' walk from the Xinbeitou MRT Station, across from a park and close to shops and restaurants. Staff were friendly and helpful, and there was always somebody at the front desk who spoke English well enough to answer questions and give directions. Here, I’d like to single out Rocky, whose smile and advice were invaluable in making my stay in Beitou more pleasant. My room, an upgrade into a twin (king bed) was large and comfortable. I had booked a Deluxe Room B, which looked just fine online, but apparently has no window. If that's the case it should be made very clear in the description because I will not stay in a room without a window. It's quite wonderful to have your own hot springs tub in the room, so you can soak and relax at any hour of the day or night. The hotel's hot springs spa, however, was definitely a superior place to soak, if you're prepared to bare it all. Though I can speak only to the men's spa, it was extremely well done: a hot pool at about 42 degrees, a medium pool around body temperature, a cold pool, a sauna and a steam room. The lighting is low and there's lots of wood, many showers, a seating area, some recliners, and a dressing area with hair dryers and such. A great place to relax and enjoy the hot springs, it was never crowded when I was there. For a small hotel (27 rooms), the hotel’s restaurant was quite good. Breakfast had a mix of Asian and Western food and some fresh fruit, and mains changed from day to day. Surprisingly, there was no noodle station, however. I had dinner several nights. The menu is limited, but the food and the service are good. Here I’d like to give special mention to Ganou (??) who, among other things, took the time to find out what the menu items were in English. So, in sum, a very pleasant stay. I’ll return when I feel the need to relax in hot springs and be...
Read moreI recently had the pleasure of staying at the Beitou Hot Spring Hotel, and it was an experience like no other. From the moment I stepped into this tranquil haven, I knew I was in for a treat.
One of the standout features of this hotel is undoubtedly its world-class hot spring facilities. The moment I dipped into the rejuvenating thermal waters, I felt the stress of everyday life melt away. The hotel boasts multiple hot spring pools, each with a unique mineral composition and temperature, ensuring that every guest finds their perfect spot for relaxation. The outdoor hot spring pools, surrounded by lush greenery, provide a serene atmosphere that allows you to connect with nature while soaking in the warm waters.
What impressed me even more was the attention to detail in the hot spring area. The cleanliness, water quality, and overall maintenance were top-notch. The staff were attentive, ensuring that guests had everything they needed for a truly indulgent hot spring experience.
Now, let's talk about the bedrooms. My room was a luxurious retreat that exceeded all expectations. The cozy and comfortable bed was like sleeping on a cloud, and the room's design exuded a perfect blend of modernity and traditional Taiwanese aesthetics. The view from my window was breathtaking, overlooking the lush mountains surrounding Beitou.
The spacious bathroom in the bedroom featured its own private hot spring tub, allowing me to enjoy the therapeutic waters in complete privacy. It was a true luxury to have this option in the room.
In conclusion, the Beitou Hot Spring Hotel is a gem of a retreat that offers an unparalleled hot spring experience and luxurious bedrooms. Whether you're seeking relaxation, romance, or simply a break from the hustle and bustle of life, this hotel is the ideal choice. I can't wait to return to this oasis of serenity...
