Braced ourselves for the worst because of all the bad reviews on Google. But we were pleasantly surprised with how great the stay was for us!

Pros: Staff were great and hospitable. The standard check in time was supposed to be at 6pm, but they managed to get the room ready for us by 4pm. The staff at the breakfast restaurant was really attentive and nice too. They will notice small details like how a Caucasian guest didn’t take any butter, and brought it to her without asking. Room was great for the price (we paid $230 for a Saturday night stay), the in room hotspring bath was good. Bed although abit small, it was sufficient for us, surprisingly quite comfortable and the pillow given had sufficient support (I am quite picky about hotel pillows) Child friendly because their restaurant provides baby high chair. Read previous reviews that the floor can feel very sandy due to the tiles used. But kudos to the hotel for mitigating it by providing disposable room slippers! We even brought our own thinking it wasn’t provided but think this is a new initiative provided by the hotel after reading the reviews :) Very cosy place and atmosphere. Read previous reviews that it is very dark, but actually there are switches near the bed that can switch on more lights within the room, so it’s actually very bright! Breakfast provided is great! There is an option of western and Chinese breakfast, and we ordered one each to try. The food was so fresh and nice! The breakfast restaurant was also not packed and really nice to dine in. The staff were all courteous and nice.

Cons: As mentioned in previous reviews, there are no fridge and safe inside the room, but you can request for an ice bucket to be delivered to your room if you need to chill some drinks The Sandy feel on the floor as mentioned above. But can be avoided by wearing the slippers provided. No towel rack, except for a small one at the door of the toilet, but it is still acceptable as you can hang it in the room too. Quite a steep hike from xinbeitou station especially if you have a luggage with you, but it’s a very scenic walk.

Would definitely recommend this please to you if you are...

I almost cancelled my reservation after reading some of the reviews of Water House. I assume they’ve made some changes to some of the complains I saw. The service we received was very friendly. The front desk was also helpful enough to recommend some of his personal favorite late night snack spots nearby. We went on a Monday so there was barely anyone, so it was perfect. We basically had the entire floor to ourselves.

The men’s public hot spring area was spotless. We got a bracelet from the front desk for the entry to the hot springs. They’ve provide a clean towel and a bottle of water in each locker. Slippers were also provided upon entering the locker room. There are three pools inside. One is a cold water pool and the other two are hot pools with two different temperatures.

Our room was clean and the hot spring tub is excellent. It’s also clean and ready to use. I do have to point out that they don’t have a fridge available and they also don’t have hangers for clothes in case if you need them. We didn’t mind it.

The breakfast (maybe due to lack of visitors during covid time) menu got two options only: western breakfast and Taiwanese breakfast. We went for the latter. And i thought there was plenty. We got a great amount of food and I though they were quite tasty. We asked them to substitute our porridge with a bowl of rice, instead. They were very accommodating.

I had a great time there. I will definitely go back and book more days next time.

Pros: Conveniently located near the MRT (7 minute walk) Very clean and the building seems new Friendly service plenty of free bottled water free breakfast clean hot springs noon check out time water boiler in the room hot spring tub in each room

Cons: no fridge in the rooms if you’re walking from the mrt with a luggage, it may be a...

Wanted to do a hot spring trip and found this place and bought the voucher via Klook. The price seemed reasonable and the pictures looks nice so we decided to give it a try. It's not far from the metro station a relatively 10 minutes easy walk and you see the place. Arrived and check in was easy after the counter scanned the QR code they gave us the keys and told us to take the lift to head up to the hot spring. When we arrived, the place looks good as it looks relatively new and it's simple and tidy. The lockers provided were very big quite possible to even put a backpack in. Changed and took a quick rinse before getting into the pools. There are 3 pools, like 40, 42 and 20 degree pools. The place isn't very big compared to the photos in klook so kinda felt a little disappointed, but the place wasn't crowded there were only 4 of us so it was still relatively okay. I chose this place by looking at the photos in klook and I wanted a mix of indoor and outdoor hot springs which I thought it had. In reality, there was a bit of outdoor which was enclosed by walls and the top sheltered by the canvas so it didn't really give a full outdoor vibe. Nevertheless I think it's fine small and cosy considering there are not many people when I was there, am not sure about other peak periods like weekends or holidays. I also like the place is clean and well maintained and has all the necessary equipment for...

Despite some of the negative reviews I came across online, my stay at the Water House Hotel in Beitou, Taipei, was nothing short of delightful. The hotel staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, making me feel valued and well-cared for throughout my visit. What sets this hotel apart is its unique location along a serene stream, offering a tranquil oasis right in the midst of the bustling city. It's the perfect blend of urban convenience and natural beauty.Another highlight of my stay was the bathing facilities. The hotel offers separate public baths for males and females, which are clean and well-maintained, providing a traditional hot spring experience. In addition, having a private bath in my room was a luxury that I greatly appreciated. Although I noticed some reviews online mentioning that the bathtubs looked old, I believe this is a natural occurrence due to the sulfur content in the hot spring water, which is known for its therapeutic properties. My experience at the Water House Hotel was exceptional. It's a peaceful, quiet retreat with thoughtful amenities and gracious service. I would recommend it to anyone looking for a restful stay in Beitou, away from the hustle and bustle but still within easy reach of the city's attractions.
