Hello Viewers,
Whenever I'm in Taipei, indulging in hot springs is a must-do for me, and on this trip, I decided to stay at Aqua Bella Hotel 🏨. Initially, I was intrigued by its unique charm, but soon discovered an unusual check-in policy – guests can only check in after 5 PM. This revelation made me rethink my perception of the place, shifting it from a conventional hotel to more of a relaxation-focused retreat. Nestled in a somewhat secluded area, the hotel is situated at a spot that requires guests to navigate a 5-minute uphill walk on a steep 20-degree incline. This proved to be a bit of a logistical puzzle, as the distance was too short to justify hailing a taxi, yet the uphill journey, especially with luggage in tow, was unexpectedly strenuous and a bit of a hassle 😓.
The breakfast offered at the hotel, while paid separately, was a traditional Taiwanese affair featuring congee and other local delicacies. However, it didn't quite hit the mark for me, as most of the items were pre-made, lacking the freshness and variety I've experienced with buffet-style breakfasts at other hotels. A notable absence at Aqua Bella was a communal hot spring area; the hotel only provided private hot spring facilities within each room. While cozy and intimate, suitable for two people, it lacked the communal, social aspect of larger public hot springs that I often enjoy.
Reflecting on my stay, I'd say Aqua Bella Hotel might not be the most convenient option for travelers who rely on walking or public transportation, given its challenging location. For my next visit, I'm inclined to look for accommodations that are more accessible, preferably closer to the Taipei metro system for ease of movement around the city. However, for those who don't mind the late check-in time and are traveling light, Aqua Bella does offer a decent balance of pricing and accommodation, especially if you're looking for a more private, secluded hot spring experience. But a little tip from my side – you might want to consider skipping the breakfast option and exploring local eateries instead for a more authentic and varied culinary experience 🍳.
P.S - did I mention they give you banana 🍌 as a room...
Read moreI don't usually write reviews but the service and the staff were so great that I felt like I owed it to them. First off, when I called them and they sensed I was hesitant because of the high price due to the hot spring season starting and also the weekend, they were very kind to drop the price to accomodate me, giving me the weekday price for the weekend. When I got to the hotel to check in, they also upgraded my room to a larger one, the Vogue Room. ||My room was very clean and spacious and after my date and I were getting comfortable, they even came in with a nice complimentary coffee machine. I'm not a big hot spring fan but my date absolutely loved it. ||I absolutely loved the free breakfast in the morning with the mixed tastes of Asian and American, anybody can find something to suit their tastes. Also, the 7-Eleven convenience store right across the street was a life saver for anything we needed.||On our last night there, they even came in with complimentary dessert! With so much free stuff, I feel like they thought I was someone else more important! Regardless of whether a mistake was or was not made, I loved my experience and can not say enough great things! I would recommend this...

My real problem was the first day we had hot spring running perfectly fine I could see lots of white sulphur in the water (which ur supposed to) second day morning the water was completely clear and no sulphuric smell no matter how long I ran the water which was a huge disappointment clerk said it’s pretty much hit or miss for good hot spring water from the mountain which is bs I’ve stayed in better hot spring hotels that had consistent hot spring water for this price... absolutely no hot water from shower at all...also there was used toilet paper between the fridge and tv.....
