I booked this for the convenience that it was very close to Taipei Main Station and it was also affordable. The hostel/hotel was not at all clean (dirty wall, bathroom tiles, minor smells of cigarette, etc), however I lived in many hostels so this was tolerable. The thing that I was least impressed was when I asked for extra pillows (because the bed was very hard), they said they didn’t have any available, but instead gave me an extra blanket. The upside was they allowed me to leave my luggage after I checked out of the place while I wait for my evening flight, so at least I could explore the city without dragging my luggage...
Read moreI paid about 850NT and I regret it. I booked it as it was the only place available on Christmas eve after my original hotel cancelled. This place is gross, the bed and pillows have unidentifiable stains, it smells weird and dusty and there is no way to turn the AC down so it is very cold. The staff just told me to 'try cover it' with a blue piece of fabric. The bathroom is moldy, there are electrical wires hanging loose in the room, small insects, cracks and dirt in the walls.
