I spent two weeks here because I was waiting for two important mail orders. It's a quiet hostel so a good place to get some sleep. The dorms are roomy and the airco (on between 9 pm and 9 am) is decent. The hostel is clean and in good condition but the bathrooms and showers could definitely benefit from some maintenance and cleaning but it's nothing that would upset a backpacker. The WiFi is free and works properly. Common area is large. No shared kitchen here. The mattresses are the hardest I ever slept on but I actually slept great on them. It's about a 5 - 10 minute walk from Khao San road so that is not to far.
The staff is Chinese and so are almost all the guests because the hostel appears to be advertised as such on some Chinese travel networks. So for me as a solo European traveller these were two lonely weeks because I don't speak Chinese and they don't really mingle with Westerners (and I couldn't leave because the mail orders were shipped here). Read moreWe have stayed here now twice because of the friendly and helpful staff, its very clean with excellent bathrooms and hot water showers, very comfortable beds with big thick quilts, super soft pillows and nice blockout curtains and air con for those who want to sleep in. Free breakfast is included with fresh fruit, toast, tea, coffee and juice and check out is at 12pm with area to leave your bags which is fantastic.
