So disappointed. They have comfy, spacious and vibrant ambiance outside but the service and food sucks. We arrived around 8:10pm and ordered after 5 minutes and the order didn't arrive 9:15pm. They closes at 9:30 so while eating they serve us our bill. The menu was amazing and we thought we found an amazing place to dine unfortunately it was a disaster. We ordered roasted duck that is frozen cold and dipped in oil- not what you'd expect from something roasted. The American Fried Rice is unedible because its swimming in oil that seem to have been the same oil they put on the duck! Goodthing we had the steamed fish (not hot when it arrived) which came after 4 times of asking for our order which all the staff disappears after you ask them and nobody ever comeback for explaination and its swimming in soupy concoction good thing it tasted good and they remove the gills from the fish or it may have swam to wherever it came from. Lastly the plates where they serve the foods seems to be dipped in the same oil they use in the duck oily even the sides and bottom. See photos below for oily foods. Been loving hot fresh cooked chinese foods but this totally...
Read morePoonsinn is one of those old-school Thai restaurants that has stood the test of time, known especially for its roasted duck. The skin is fragrant and the meat juicy, making it a must-order.
Beyond the duck, the menu covers a wide range of Thai dishes, many prepared in a traditional style that’s increasingly hard to find. Stir-fries, curries, and noodle dishes all come in hearty portions, offering comfort food that’s both nostalgic and satisfying. The flavors lean classic rather than modern or experimental, which adds...
Read moreI'm Thai. The food was okay, but their service is the worst. The waiters and waitresses are slow to respond (e.g. when asking for the check, waiting for the change, etc.). It surprises me how the waitress there didn't even smile! The most ridiculous thing tho, is the air conditioning charge. I didn't tell them to turn on the AC, why are they charging me for it? Btw, if you ask for 2 glasses of tea, you won't be charged for it, but if you order 4 glasses, they will bring you a mug and you will be charged 20 baht (what?). They will also offer you a wet clothe for cleaning your hands. Well, it's good, but they won't tell you that it'd be charged as well until the...
