Welcome to the most expensive hostel in Bangkok, one that is highly overrated! When you book here, be prepared to spend a more money than needed.
It’s located near the dirty greenish Bangkok river, a distanced but walkable area from The Grand Palace, Buddhist Temple, National Museum and cheap clubbing area of KhaoSan. Being so far away from the train stations, you will miss out on the unique malls Bangkok has to offer including its affordable food courts. And lord forbids, the Night Markets!
🤩 Highlights ➊ Small Bottle Of Mineral Water Provided Daily This small bottle mineral water (est. 500ml) albeit filled with healthy minerals is so sacred that its molecule is thought to produce 10 times more hydration than average water. Hence, no further filtered water is provided unlike other hostel— Enjoy your limited rations of water despite paying double the price of all other premium hostels! ➋ Daily Change of Towels ➌ ‘Dipping’ Pool It’s not as beautiful as the photos.. ➍ Cafe (Read As: Money Making Cafe NOT a hotel lounge) Nice cafe vibes with chill music that doesn’t stops even till 12am (good luck wanting some peace & quietness for work). You are not allowed to order any outside food even if you are a guest living here— NO GrabFood or outside drinks, and no hot water for you to make your own teas & beverages either! 😤 ➎ Western Crowd As usual, westerners are polite and quiet even when packing— your beauty sleep is guaranteed.
🙇🏻♀️ Downside ➊ Lacks Bedside Space Nowhere to place your devices for charging. Half sized vertical storage space for 8 bunk beds, full sized for 4 bunk beds. ➋ Unhealthy (Paid) Breakfast Buffet All your distasteful western junk food with barely any local cuisines (no offence). Don’t be surprised if you’re going to spend more time in the toilet afterwards. ➌ Flooded Showers I remember there was only about 1 hook in each bathroom… good luck! ➍ Magical Food Thieves By The Pool If you leave your food unattended even if there are some food left for even just 1 minute, be warned that they will disappear without your permission and the staff will just laugh about it. I mean, it’s only about THB200 per small side dish, what’s the big deal? 🙃 ➎ Read in between the lines for under ‘Highlights’

Read moreWhat to say, I have very mixed feelings. I stayed at this hotel for 3 nights, and I enjoyed it, nice room, good location, breakfast is overpriced, but I wanted to give it a 4 star.
I left my luggage there for 2 nights, and booked an other night because I wanted a place to change my cloths, have a shower before I left, I did not want to do that in the lobby or just use the shower room. However this time I just booked a mixed dormitory because I knew I would not be sleeping there.
On my way back to Bangkok I met a girl, who did not have a room and I offered her the place I already paid for. Note it was a mixed dormitory. After checking in, while we were waiting for the elevator we were told that only 1 person can sleep in that room. I said yes, only 1 person will be sleeping there.
Minutes after we enter the room, one of the staff is there saying that one of us must leave, because guests can only stay in the dormitory for 10 minutes. Fine, the girl will wait for me in the lobby. Two minutes later another guy calling security on me, asking where the girl is, and shouting you have to book a private room if you want to do that! I answered she went to the lobby, and maybe the bathroom. They keep on shouting you need a private room to do that, I cannot do it, they will call the police. I was confused.
I change to my travel cloths, put my shoes on and go down to the lobby, it was maybe 20 minutes.
In the lobby a staff member, Pachara keeps telling me, very rudely, I cannot do that, I still understand what, finally he says that if I want to have sex with a girl, I must book a private room. I just get it, Pachara got upset because he thought I book a dormitory to have sex there with a stranger. What a ridecolous idea! By this time I was upset, because he was very rude, he was actually kicking me out of the hotel.
I told him, maybe I made a mistake , but a hotel staff cannot talk to and behave with a customer like that, he should apologize for me, he did not want to, but finally given me a cynical sorry.
I was very disappointed I did not expect this from this hotel. Very bad customer service, if there is a misunderstanding. I wanted to recommend it, but after this...
Read moreLocation is the really only thing that stands out for this brand new hotel -hostel with small swimming pool. Restaurant is waaaay overpriced food. The shared dorm rooms are about $19-22 USD per night so that is really expensive for south east Asia even if it has a small pool. There is no free coffee in the mornings and coffee making station wit teas for the guests to use free of charge. No filtered water bottle filling station, which is quite strange since they have them all over the two airports in Bangkok. Cold, filtered drinking water is better than giving the guests plastic bottles everyday when the whole world should be reducing plastic use not increasing it. Please invest the money for a professional commercial quality water filling station in the lobby. For over $20 bucks a night you'd expect these things in a hostel, especially a brand new one. Regarding the dorm beds. The actually dorm bed can get very hot when you have the curtains shut completely because the curtains are made of a fabric that doesn't breathe which prevents the fresh cold air from the aircon from getting to you bed. I had to sleep with my curtain partially open because the bed area was not breathing. Also the curtains have metal rings instead of plastic ones so when anyone opens the curtain in the room is actually really loud and amplified because the 8 bed dorm rooms are very small and people with large suitcases will have trouble opening their suitcases in the room without getting on the way of the rest of the dorm mates walking and personal space. Th rooms should actually have 6 beds, not eight for the size of the rooms they...
