Located In A Peaceful District Of Phra Nakhon In Bangkok 🇹🇭, Somewhere Around The Corner You'll Find Patonggo Cafe.

Known For Serving Traditional Thai Style Breakfast And Coffee. The Café Specializes In A Popular Thai Breakfast Item Called "Patongko" Or "Pa Tong Go," Which Are Deep Fried Dough Sticks That Are Crispy On The Outside And Soft And Fluffy On The Inside. They Are Often Served With A Sweetened Condensed Milk Dipping Sauce, Soy Milk, Or Thai Style Coffee.

Patonggo Café Is A Cozy And Casual Spot With A Laid Back Atmosphere, The Interior Is Decorated With Vintage Thai Posters And Artwork, Giving The Space A Nostalgic Feel And It Is Popular Among Locals And Tourists Alike.

The Outdoor Seating Area Consists Of A Few Tables And Chairs Set Up On A Sidewalk, Allowing Customers To Soak In The Local Atmosphere And Watch The Passing Street Life. The Indoor Seating Area Is Well Ventilated And Features Wooden Tables And Chairs, With Soft Lighting And A Relaxed Ambiance.

This Café Has Also Been Awarded The Michelin Bib Gourmand Distinction Twice In A Row In 2018 & 2019.

I would prefer giving it NO STAR!

Please don't fall for video clip promoting it!

If you want to enjoy a real delicious patonggo, please go somewhere else! This cafe's patonggo only has crispiness feel - once you chew on it, it all crumble down in your mouth, nothing for you to chew after that - you won't feel any tender moist, a bit tender crumb which are qualities of traditional patonggo.

By the way, They only serve iced coffee even though it's morning time (8:30 am). My friends ordered coffee but got three iced coffee instead. So, I then ordered a cup of coffee without ice. This time I got cold coffee with no ice. To cut the long story short, they don't serve hot coffee in the morning!

We were very disappointed and swore that we will never come back!

I REALLY DO NOT KNOW HOW THIS CAFE GOT A MICHELIN STAR! CAN...

Scrumptious food at incredibly affordable rates! Conveniently located right across my hotel, Suraya, near Khao San Road. The café opens early in the morning, making it perfect for breakfast.

We tried a variety of dishes, and the wonton soup stood out as my favorite—a refreshing, warm, and absolutely delicious bowl of goodness. The pork with rice was simple yet satisfying.

The real star of the menu, however, was the Pattongo. We tried two variants: the classic served with pandan syrup and coconut shavings, which was fantastic, and another with Thai coffee ice cream. The ice cream paired perfectly with the Pattongo, offering a creamy, delightful flavor.

Overall, it was an amazing dining experience. Highly...

Patonggo or deep fried Dough stick aka Char Kway. From this Cafe, you can try a variety of patonggo menu from savoury to dessert. Cafe is also selling other food as well. I have tried patonggo with crispy pork floss, Chili jam and condensed milk. This is my first time eat patonggo as a fully savoury dish. However, it works well with a balance of sweet from condensed milk and bit of spicy from chilli jam. Recommended this dish. Coffee is also nice with a well explanation in menu that how much coffee and how much milk used. I ordered O-Soy which is black coffee with soy milk. It was nice. They use a real soy milk with coffee. No sugar needed as it is natural sweet from soy milk already there.
