Room:||The room (Studio with balcony) was very clean, bright and everything has been in a good state. It is quipped with TV, AC, big fridge and a very comfy bed. You get basic equipment for the bathroom like toothbrush, shower gel and shampoo. Also after daily housekeeping I found two fresh bottles of water and some snacks in my room. There is more than enough space for luggage of two people and a nice table to have breakfast on or get some work done. The bathroom is also very clean - compared to other hotels the shower can be adjusted very good to different temperatures. For pictures just check the pictures by the hotel on booking com - no differences or negative surprises here.||||Location:||The hotel is near to two bts stations (both approx. 800 meters from the hotel). By bts you can switch up to airport rail link at Phaya Thai and catch up your flight at BKK airport from the hotel and vice versa. Bts also connects to mrt (metro) and to the express boat at Taksin Pier. The Taksin Pier is also only approx. 800 meters from the hotel at one of the two nearby bts stations. Walking there you get a beautiful view from Taksin bridge on the Chao Phraya (especially at night). If you don’t want to walk over the bridge, ferry cross the river is 5 baht. From there you can take the express boat for only 15 baht or using tourist boat if you need english guidance and more comfort (for a little bit higher price). Thus, you can get nearly everywhere in BKK from the hotel. Bts closes at midnight, express boat between 7 pm and 8 pm. Tourist boat at 10 pm. After midnight I would recommend taking a Grab Car or Bike - it’s like Uber for Asia ;-)||||In front of the hotel are some restaurants, bars and many street food shops. 7/11 market is only 50 meters from the hotel. Also in this part of the town I haven’t seen any street dogs, so if you are afraid of them, you don’t have to worry.||||Other:||You can wash laundry in the hotel for 40 baht each machine. You only need some washing powder (you can grab some at 7/11). The hotel employees were extremely friendly, helpful and spoke english very good (seems that this isn’t that common in Thailand and in some Thai hotels). Payment by credit card wasn’t a problem, but it was about 200 baht higher (on 7 nights stay, so nothing to really complain about) than mentioned in the confirmation by booking com.||||Conclusion:||After more than three weeks in Thailand in four different hotels, the cosy river was one of the best hotels, keeping the price and good location in mind. And not for the room itself, but for the customer focus and for the way the hotel did not meet my problem.||I booked a room 5 hours before check-in and immediately asked if I could make payment upon check-out, since many hotels on Booking provide this opportunity.||Since I urgently needed to send money for the treatment of my parents and I was left without money on the day of check-in.||But they responded after another 5 hours!!!!This hotel does not provide such an opportunity. I asked to cancel. But they said that I had to pay a fine. I understand that this rule is written yes.
