Bangkok Chim Chum — Restaurant in Bang Lamphu Lang Subdistrict

We chanced upon this restaurant when searching for nice Chim Chum nearby our hotel in Bangkok, we took a Grab from our hotel to this restaurant but the Google Maps pinned on the wrong side, which was opposite side of the road and thankfully that the driver knew that we were heading to a restaurant having Chim Chum and he saw this restaurant and alighted us at the correct direction.

When we walked into this restaurant, we could see a lot of drawings hanging on the wall and find it cozy but due to the hot weather in BKK, the main area does not have any aircon and the friendly restaurant owner who spoke good English suggested we move into the aircon room instead and it's a great suggestion, as my hubby was sweating in the first place. 😂😂😂

Their food were delicious, especially the fried fish & squid salad, however, I was expecting the Chim Chum soup to taste Spicy & Sour, but it wasn't the case, the soup tasted bland, ended up we poured in the leftover squid salad sauce into the soup to make it taste Spicy & Sour. 😅😅😅

The Papaya/Mango salad which came together with the fried fish taste delicious, but too spicy to our liking. Hahaha...

Overall, we were satisfied with their food, however, if they could also teach their staff with some basic good English it would be great as to ease the communication between the guest & staff.

We will come back again to try other dishes and hope they will keep on improving!...

If you’re in Bangkok, you have to try this local restaurant! This place is an absolute gem for authentic Thai hotpot lovers. From the moment we walked in, the warm and friendly staff made us feel at home, guiding us through the menu and explaining how to enjoy the various dishes like the locals.

The Thai specialties are sublime and the flavors were out of this world! The Tom Yum broth was rich and aromatic, perfectly infused with herbs like lemongrass and kaffir lime. The fresh selections of meat, seafood, and vegetables were top-notch, and everything tasted incredibly fresh and flavorful. The dipping sauce was the real game-changer – spicy, tangy, and just the right kick of Thai zest!

The place resembles an art gallery and the atmosphere was lively but cozy, making it perfect for both casual dining and a fun night out with friends. And the best part? The prices were super reasonable for the quality and portions you get.
