Me and my husband decided to tryout this restaurant because of the reviews we see on Google. What a disappointment experience. The service was terrible. The restaurant employed a 17 year old waiter(only waiter). Who has no training to serve food at all (no fault if his). We first walk in without any one showing us where we can be seated. So we thought the place had no sitting available. So we decided to leave but then a guy( possibly the owner) came after us to let us know that we can go inside there’s seats available. Then he yell at his staff ( asking the young waiter why he didn’t bring the customer to the available seat). So me and my husband look at each other like…ok. Let’s give it a try. The second that we were seated the waiter( 17 year old boy) stood over us to rush us for the order. So we ordered wings, ribs and salmon for appetizer some iced water and soda( felts very rushed 😒literally 2 minutes after we sit down ). Anyhow after we got the drink and appetizers( and 30 minutes pasted …). No one concerned or ask if we need or want to order the main course (mind you the “possible owner were sitting a table over from us). We waited for a little while longer to see if anyone will come to get our dinner order. But … no one did. So we got up to go pay for our food (with tips 😭 that’s when we found out that the only waiter in the restaurant is only 17 year old). So food for thought 💭 were is the service mind in this restaurant? The restaurant owner wanted ours money but can’t manage to provide a service ( a trained staff) to customers so that he might be able to keep customers. Good food must come with good service… sometimes bad food but great service places is better off… (...

Tucked away on Charoennakorn Road, Rot-Rue-Dee is one of those rare finds you almost want to keep to yourself, a low-key spot serving truly delicious Thai food at really, really reasonable prices.
I had dinner there yesterday and was pleasantly surprised by how satisfying the whole experience was. The setting is simple and unpretentious, but there’s warmth in the way everything is done, from the attentive service to the way each dish arrives at the table.
The menu covers a good range of Thai favorites, and everything we tried was bursting with flavor. It’s clear they focus on quality ingredients and getting the details right.
Rot-Rue-Dee isn’t flashy, and it doesn’t need to be. It’s the kind of place you go when you want real food, cooked well, without the frills or inflated prices. A true hidden gem, and one I’ll definitely be...
Read moreA little gem on Charoen Nakhon road! You don’t particularly notice the place but when you walk in, everything is right! The kitchen is spotless, the space on the top floor is well decorated and super cosy! The food is the most authentic Thai food I have had in my two weeks in Thailand! We had fried rice with crispy pork, some Thai leaves stir fried with eggs, masaman curry, chives dumplings and sour pork salad. I recommend the last two especially! As for the service, we walked in at 8:40pm, which is 20mn before their closing time but they were super welcoming, didn’t rush us at all. We then got to observe them cleaning the place spotless. The server did not speak English but was super friendly and always smiley :) Go, it...
