This is a fantastic hotel and it massive. If you stay in one of the suites in the Krugthep Wing and walk to breakfast at the lounge in the main hotel, it takes 7 minutes. Most of the rooms look over the river and all the Krugthep Wing have balconies with fantastic views down the river. The only thing I would say, try to get a standard room over the pool. I had a suite which was right near the road bridge, making the balcony very noisy. However with the doors shut the room was very quiet. The room itself was lovely, exactly what you would expect from Shangri-La. Very comfortable bed and excellent amenities. Breakfast and cocktail hour in the executive lounge were much better than expected. The lounge is on the 25th floor and again has fantastic views down the river. But what really made it was the choice and quality of food for breakfast and cocktail hour. It may seem to be a bit away from the city centre, but there is a tourist riverboat that goes from right next to the hotel and stops next to the palace. Its actually easier to get to the tourist part of the city from this hotel than many of the others, which is one reason I picked it. I would certainly recommend staying here and I plan to again, but will get an exec room in the main building rather than the Krugthep...

Hubby said it is the one of the best hotels he has stayed. The staff will make up the room twice. Once in the morning and once in the evening. Service is top notch. The view from the balcony is so good but the noise from the highway spoilt the serenity. Love the pool which is so clean and felt so safe with the lifeguard on watch and the staff wasso considerate as to lay the towel on the lounge bed. The river cruise with the buffet on Horizon Cruise was memorable. Love the food, especially the desserts, crabs, sashimi and fried noodle. The breakfast is really a feast with dosa live station, noodle and egg live station. Sushi bread, fruits and there was mangosteen one day! However the food at Shangri-La palace was...

Shangri-La Health Club Bangkok is in a great location near the Chao Phraya River, offering a beautiful view from the gym. While the selection of fitness equipment is not extensive, it is sufficient for a complete workout. The club also features excellent sauna, steam room, and Jacuzzi facilities.

The staff, particularly Khun Golf and Khun Bow, provide outstanding service. They are warm, welcoming, and have an impressive ability to remember customers' names, creating a friendly and personalized experience.

I also had the opportunity to train with Khun Golf, who is a professional and knowledgeable trainer. His approach keeps workouts engaging and enjoyable, making me look forward to...

My wife and I have stayed at the Shangril-La Bangkok 4 times. Twice in the Krungthep wing, twice in the main wing. Every single time has been wonderful. There really is no way to convey just how perfect this place is: it has easy access to the BTS skyway, the free ferry to Icon Siam is lovely, and the staff are (as always) just so friendly. If you want to treat yourself, save the money you would spend staying at the ultra-luxury hotels and resorts and just get a nice room at the Shangri-La. My only advice would be to book a river view room if you stay in the main wing. In the Krungthep, every room has a river view!
