The owner and lady at the reception are very kind and provide you with a lot of tips for activities around the island. The room was not very big and there are holes and open spaces everywhere. There is a net around the bed but there are mosquitos in the room. The net is really big and feels good. There is a fan in the room but because of the mosquito net you don't actually feel the fan but it's nice to cool the room a bit. The options to hang your clothes is very convenient. The space outside the room is nice to sit before or after dinner to chill. Make sure you use enough mosquito repellent. The shower was cold but because of the hot weather that was not a problem. The bathroom did smell very bad everytime after taking a shower. The smell was also in the room and stayed for a couple of hours. The location is very good and nearby everything but also away from the busy street. We did wake up dury the night and especially in the morning because of the light and the animals. There was no curtain on the window next to the bed. If you like a basic cottage in nature this is your place to be. If you like more comfort (we do) you can reconsider your choice. We thought the place is a little bit to pricey for what you get. Unfortunately everything on koh lipe is expensive and there were not...
Read moreI stayed for 3 nights at the end of March. I was pleasantly surprised about the atmosphere in the resort. The whole thing is tucked in a pretty corner behind Walking Street with lots of trees and shady places. The staff at the reception were super polite and helpful as well. She always answered all my questions and I saw her doing the same with other guests multiple times.||||I had a very basic hut. Bed, Fan, Mosquito Net, not much more. It was cozy and comfortable most of the time and the staff let a slow burning mosquito repellant coil outside every evening. There's a common area with a stocked fridge with cold water, sodas and beer.||||There were 2 problems. There was no Air Con in the room, and I knew this when I booked. It was hotter than I thought it would be and the fan wasn't strong enough to create a breeze through the mosquito net. The second thing was the wifi. There was none in my hut, and the wifi in the common area was spotty.||||I'd go back, but I'd get an...

Edited to add this: And then the owner proceeded to try to frame some sort of character assassination, as you can read below rather than help us.
We asked to have the WiFi reset once because it wasn't working and there's a huge sign saying "don't touch the router; ask reception." So we did. Framed as "complaining about the WiFi."
We also asked a group of loud guests who were drinking next to our room at 1am to be quiet. Another couple came out asked the same thing. The hotel apologized and moved us to another room the next morning.
After we wrote this review, a female foreign staff member came to our room asking if we had contacted the police and then complaining her boss, a tiny Italian man named Marco, was very angry and he was going to come have a word with us. He never did, but one should never feel threatened for reporting a...
