In July 2025, I checked into the Corner Suite at Aman Nai Lert Bangkok. Opened in April 2025, the 52-suite ultra-luxury hotel is set within the tranquil Nai Lert Park in the upscale residential Phloen Chit neighbourhood. AMAN NAI LERT BANGKOK With interiors courtesy of longtime Aman collaborator Jean-Michel Gathy and his Denniston consulting firm, the hotel draws its design inspiration from the nearby Nai Lert Park and the family’s all-teak Heritage Home which was built in 1915 and served as the family’s residence until its conversion to a museum which conducts pre-booked guided tours and hosts private dining experiences. Wellness facilities are set on levels 9 and 10. The 29-metre outdoor infinity saltwater pool on the 9th floor features a heated massage jet section and a century-old sompong tree protruding into the space through an elliptical void at its centre, while the fitness centre is fitted with Technogym and Outrace equipment along with complimentary use of a state-of-the-art InBody body composition analysis machine. Set over two floors, the spa comprises treatment rooms offering Aman’s signature Grounding, Purifying and Nourishing treatments; a hair and nail salon; hydrotherapy facilities (steam, sauna, hot and cold plunge); and a medical centre operated in partnership with Bangkok’s Hertitude clinic which offers a variety of treatments, from IV drips to fillers and even botox. The hotel offers a variety of complimentary guest experiences daily, from fitness classes such as Thai Boxing, Rhythm Dance, HIIT and Vinyasa Yoga to cocktail making, tea and coffee discovery and even classes dedicated to spirit houses, Thai calligraphy and plaster doll crafting. This was a very commendable, consumer-friendly departure from the primarily payable approach to guest experiences at the Japanese Aman properties I have stayed at previously. CORNER SUITE Decked in soothing, earthy shades of gray, cream and brown with varied textures of marble, stone and warm wood, the 92sqm Corner Suite offers floor-to-ceiling corner windows with cityscape views, its height accentuated by triple-tiered ceiling moldings with cove lighting. A spacious window-side daybed could accommodate a couple sitting with their souls and soles touching, while a dining table positioned next to the other window is laden with goodies upon your arrival, from welcome champagne in an ice bucket to an ornate gold chocolate block bearing the shape of the sompong leaf (you know, the one shooting through the swimming pool). There is also a wall-facing work desk where you can find a Aman coffee-table book and Aman Essentials magazine. Apart from controlling lighting, temperature and window shades, the bedside tablet summons the hidden flatscreen TV from within the table-top. It needs to be said that the super king size bed is one of the most comfortable beds I’ve ever had. The full review inclusive of dining experiences and photographs is available on Secret Life of Fatbacks, a luxury travel website.

I was truly impressed by the garden—it holds such a rich and meaningful history. During the war in the past, the land was hit by bombs, and over time it transformed into a serene lotus pond. I love reading the explanation signs at each spots inside the special garden which show such unforgettable history of its place and how the owner treasure the greenery. My two children loved feeding the fish, and we all enjoyed the peaceful surroundings of Nai Lert Park. My aunty especially loved the atmosphere—it felt like a hidden oasis in the city. Not far from this magnificent park, we were warmly welcomed by the Aman staff who escorted us to the lobby where we had booked high tea. From the moment we arrived, every detail of the building exuded elegance. The architecture, the ambiance—everything felt thoughtfully curated and full of meaning. I was incredibly fortunate to meet Ted Tucker, the General Manager, who personally gave us a tour of the hotel. His genuine passion for the property was inspiring. He shared stories about the hotel’s history, pointed out paintings and artworks with fascinating backstories, and made us feel so welcome. You could tell he represents the hotel with heart—it was truly memorable. One detail that stayed with me was the beer in the room, named Sompong after a tree. I was particularly touched by how the architecture was built around the trees instead of cutting them down—something rarely seen in large developments. The building respects nature, allowing the trees to thrive. It’s a reflection of the values of the owner, and that alone makes this place special. Liza was absolutely lovely—she kindly helped us take photos and always suggested the best spots to capture the moment. The high tea was elegant and delicious—perhaps the only small suggestion would be to serve the tea in a pot to keep it warm for longer. The bedroom offered a stunning view overlooking the park and city skyline, and the spa and gym areas looked so inviting. For a place that’s only been open for 13 days, everything was remarkably flawless. It was a perfect afternoon spent with my university friends, catching up and making new memories. My kids were in heaven exploring the vast garden and the heritage Nai Lert home, and they especially loved feeding the huge fish by the quaint coffee shop. I will absolutely be returning—and bringing more friends along next time for high tea, lunch, or dinner. The Japanese restaurant looks especially enticing, and I have no doubt the quality will match the rest of this extraordinary experience. For anyone who look for such extraordinary luxurious private experience once in a life time, Aman is truly THE PLACE to be!

We had an amazing three-day stay at Aman Bangkok. From the moment we arrived, the hotel lived up to Aman’s impeccable standards: the brand-new property feels fresh and thoughtfully designed, the towels are luxuriously soft, and the beds are incredibly comfortable. Even converting the sofa into a second bed came with a thick mattress topper—attention to detail I’ve never seen elsewhere. The spa and pool were absolute highlights, but it was the entire Aman team—front desk, concierge, kitchen, spa, and housekeeping—that made our trip unforgettable. In just three days, they arranged Bangkok’s must-see cultural excursions—temple tours, a floating market visit (including a stop at a nearby elephant village), and more—while seamlessly handling every detail. When our tours began too early for breakfast, the kitchen graciously packed delicious breakfast boxes for us to enjoy on the go. As a first-time visitor to Thailand, I also appreciated the complimentary fast-track and limousine transfers between the airport and hotel—especially with both our arrival and departure flights at midnight. The hotel’s setting in lush Nai Lert Park is perfect for a morning stroll, and the on-site restaurants are well worth trying. Plus, SEA LIFE Bangkok Ocean World is just a short drive away—great fun for the kids. We’re so grateful to the Aman Bangkok family for creating such a warm, “home away from home” experience. Highly recommended!

From the moment we landed, Aman Bangkok delivered an incredible experience. We were met at the gate by Aman’s airport team, escorted through fast-track immigration (finished in under five minutes), had our bags retrieved for us, and minutes later settled into a spacious Alphard with chilled water, sweets, and cool towels.

The hotel itself is newly opened, and everything felt impeccably designed. Having stayed at other Gathy-designed properties, I was still surprised by how distinctive this one is, blending natural materials with elegant finishes. Our suite was significantly more spacious than expected, with nearly 360-degree views from floor-to-ceiling windows and views from the oversized soaking tub. Being able to control all settings via iPad was great, and the blackout blinds plus plush bedding made for incredibly restful sleep.

Breakfast at Arva was a highlight in the morning. It was a made-to-order, unlimited à la carte experience, and everything we tried tasted phenomenal. We especially loved the Moo Ping skewers, the crab omelet, the wellness shots, and the mango sticky rice. Each dish was beautifully plated and full of flavor without ever feeling heavy.

The spa was equally impressive. We booked Thai massages and were blown away by the skill of the therapists. They clearly knew what they were doing and found all the right pressure points to relieve tension and work out knots. The spa and pool facilities felt luxuriously private and relaxing — we were often the only ones using them, which made the experience feel even more special.

One of the most memorable parts of our stay was the on-property experiences. We took a private class where we learned how to hand weave coasters and got to take them home. It was a fun, meditative activity and a unique way to engage with Thai craftsmanship. The private tour of the Nai Lert Park Heritage Home was also fascinating as it's filled with antiques, architectural stories, and even a lotus pond built in the aftermath of WWII bombings. It felt deeply personal and connected to the history of the property.

What really elevated our stay, though, was the service. Every interaction (from the concierge to housekeeping to the kitchen) was seamless. It’s rare to see operations run this smoothly at a brand-new hotel, but every request on WhatsApp was answered instantly, our suite was always immaculately cleaned the moment we stepped out, our reservations were made/changed without friction, and service at Arva was fast and flawless. Everyone we encountered was warm, helpful, and attentive without ever being intrusive.

It was also clear that the team cares about creating a sense of surprise and delight throughout the stay. From the sweet treats waiting in the airport transfer to the strawberries and bubbly on arrival, every touchpoint felt curated and intentional. The minibar was the most thoughtful we’ve ever seen, including well-selected local options and a range of spirits. The arrival and departure rituals, along with little extras like the Thai tea break at the end of the Heritage Home tour, made the stay feel more like a holistic experience than just a hotel stay.

All in all, we were deeply impressed by everything provided at Aman Bangkok, and look forward...
