Valuable got swiped during massage without my knowing. Strange movement like folding of my ear lobe from back to front which i didn’t thought much of, and upon discovery, checked with my partner that it wasn’t part of the massage. Went back in less than an hour but the masseur wasn’t at the scene. Draw your own conclusion.
Update:
Appreciate the attempt at service recovery, we both know it is pretty much pointless. No one is ever gonna admit that they took something or own up to it, especially not without cold hard proof like a cctv which couldn’t exist where the massage took place. So it is what it is. I’ve had it with me for 3 years. Yet I visited just this one massage place and it went missing after some weird touching of my ear that isn’t part of the massage. Coincident? Bad luck? You tell me. Details? The masseur was the one wearing a hairband on the 3rd level, with a cough. Yes she was coughing during the massage. She too was the one to stay behind and clear the area when we were leaving, so if anything she would have found it. The fact that we went back and nothing was to be found, plus she wasn’t around, speaks volume.
In any case let my experience be a warning to those who have their valuables on their person, either keep it safe by removing them prior or check them after. I made the mistake of not doing so and paid the price for it. To those who think I’m making this up, wait till you experience it yourself, in the land of “smiles”, when you let your guards down 🤗
I’ll add that the massage is sub par, just put on some soothing music, have anyone (and I mean anyone) exert force on you so much so that you’ll feel relieved or “refreshed” after it ended, and you’ll leave with soreness and bruises that appear after a day or two. If that’s your jam, by all means, go for it.
If not look for Javanese massage in other country/places if you’re seeking quality massage. Thai massage is no longer how it used to be nor is the place,...
Read moreThis was an interesting overall experience. The location is unassuming, and definitely not very fancy, but the 2-hour Thai massage that I received was excellent. The massage therapist was extremely thorough and she really worked some trouble spots that I had after spending 17+ hours on planes getting to Thailand.
The massages happen in a shared environment closed off by curtains, so you'll hear other people talking quietly sometimes, and the occasional person who forgets to silence their phone so it will ring. 🙄
It's extremely dark, so for the first couple of minutes I couldn't even see, but my eyes adjusted fairly quickly. It was also very cold, to the point that I was shivering which was quite uncomfortable. The massage therapist brought me an extra blanket, which helped warm me up. I don't know why they need to keep it so cold! 🥶
If you're coming for a Thai massage, don't worry about what you're wearing, because they will hand you a set of pajama-type garb to wear for the massage. At the end they will serve you some delicious hot tea, and a tasty little candy. It's a nice way to end the experience!
All in all, this is a solid place to get a Thai massage. When I went they had a 20% off discount, so it was only 800 Baht for two hours which is a great deal...
Read moreI made a booking for a 90-minute leg massage at this place, after reading positive reviews, but unfortunately, it ended with disappointment. Upon arrival, the counter staff was friendly, and I was greeted with a cold drink and wet wipes, which was a nice touch. However, things took a turn when I was led to the opposite building and had to climb three flights of stairs before settling into the room.
My massage therapist was an elderly woman, and from the start, I felt discomfort as her nails dug into my leg. The pressure throughout the session was inconsistent — at times, she pressed into my bones, while other times, it felt like she was barely touching me, just rubbing on moisturiser. I informed her to increase the pressure, but the result was either too harsh or too light, and it left me feeling more uncomfortable than relaxed.
Halfway through the massage, she took a break to use the toilet. Throughout the session, she seemed disengaged, yawning occasionally, which gave the impression of unprofessionalism. Sadly, I ended up cutting the session short because the massage caused more pain than relief.
On a positive note, the facility itself was clean and appeared new, but given the disappointing quality of the massage, I wouldn't recommend it...
