Luxurious and elegant atmosphere, with traditionally-prepared Italian dishes made from the head chef's childhood memories. The food was fresh with seasonal ingredients, offering an extensive (hundreds) of curated fine wine to pair with the meals. Alessandro took years of iteration to get the signature dishes just right, and the result is just an amazing culinary experience. He draws upon his memories of childhood and his other restaurant in Phuket to inspire this neat set of creation.

Down to the food based on Degustation Menu:

  1. The Sicilian red prawns and Amaebi prawns mixed well with the sea asparagus oil with bold flavoring. The squid ink decor adds the earthiness and depth to the dish and freshness of the seafood.
  2. The Squid tagliatelle was uniquely cut like a pasta strand. Has a slight herbal flavor topped with the Siberian carviar, making iy well balanced.
  3. The Sardanian smoked eel was my favorite. What a unique delicacy, very tendor and goes well with the slightly sweet sauce.
  4. The Rissoto with wild mushrooms is good. Creamy and rich in taste, feels very homey.
  5. The Burrata stuffed Tortelli with Wagyu Beef Cheeks (72 hours) is another favorite. Succulent and juicy, this meat is bouncy with all the right flavors. The aged Balsamic (25 years) adds a special touch to it, but seems more like decor than taste enhancement.
  6. The Red Mullet Pan Fried was probably the least favorite. It was salty, along with the Sicilian Capers that added to the saltiness. Recommend to go for the Wood-fired Roasted Suckling Pig instead as the fish was an unenjoyable dish.
  7. The Fior Di Latte dessert was beautifully crafted pure white. It is topped with a light and airy foam, served with a scoop of gelato that adds to the freshness.

Polished tablewear, very unique plating designs. All this adds to the sophisticated experience. Service is excellent and the staffs are well trained in the culinary arts.

Price ranges between alacarte and the set menu which will amount to around THB 5,000 per person. Wine bottles also have a huge price range and can choose them at the Wine Cellar.

Parking is always available, there are around 20 open...

From a great welcome to poor farewell...

We were looking forward to try the new aqua restaurant.

A charming hostess at the entrance, well trained staff, nice table, beautiful atmosphere. The chef/owner who I met before once, came to our table to recommend some dishes

Food was excellent great portion except for the “Raw Sicilian Red prawns Rosso di Mazara (Best prawn in the world) smoked mozzarella cream, Sardinian sea urchin and Siberian caviar” consisting of 3 or 4 small shrimps that could fit in one spoon sold at 1250 THB (excluding taxes)

When we left, no one “senior” in the restaurant came to thank us (the chef was sitting at a table behind us) or asked for our feedback.

When you just open a restaurant (that was 2/3 empty when we left) and you have a table of 4 guests (all of us living in Bangkok) who paid more than 22,000 THB , you expect to be well taken care of (ie: with coffee or why not a new desert to try) even after you settled the bill or at least to be escorted and to be thanked upon leaving

All my network, with whom I shared the story reassured me: There are plenty of other good Italian restaurants in Bangkok who treated well their customers until...

Update as of 2023: the restaurant continues to impress. The new country risotto with escargot is a delightful combination of flavours, reminding me of the forests of Umbria although the inspiration came from the forests of Sardinia. Second time round with the lemon tart. This time I enjoyed it more! Lemon tart zestily good 🤗.

A soulful fine-dining experience with the right amount of zest and sophistication. My critical review: Ambience 5/5: The dining room sits in a renovated old house with a large tree enclosed in the middle. At one end the open kitchen is a wonder for all to see. Where I sat, the table overlooked a manicured garden, lit at night. The space is simply beautiful. Menu 5/5: surprisingly very extensive Food 4/5 (5 being Michelin 2-3 stars): Beautiful presented as works of art, fine ingredients perfectly prepared, and delicate flavours make the dishes very enjoyable. (See review in photo captions) Service 5/5: Warm, friendly, passionate, eager and efficient, from the Chef, restaurant manager and other staff - a service par excellence. Value 4/5: Given the generous portions e.g. truffles, the value here is very fair. I paid 2,500 baht for 3...

Acqua Italian Fine Dining in Bangkok is simply exceptional—truly one of the finest Italian dining experiences in the city! From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed into an ultra-modern, sophisticated setting that sets the tone for a memorable meal. Chef Alessandro is not only a master of Italian cuisine but a warm and engaging personality who adds an unforgettable personal touch to the dining experience. The Italian dishes here are on an entirely different level. We opted for the white truffle menu, and each dish was a masterpiece, showcasing the best of authentic Italian flavors with a refined, contemporary twist. The ingredients were impeccably fresh, and the truffle’s aroma and flavor were perfectly balanced throughout the meal. The wine list was extensive and well-curated, featuring selections that paired beautifully with each course. The service was impeccable—attentive, knowledgeable, and genuinely passionate about delivering an extraordinary experience. If you’re looking for a place where every detail is meticulously crafted and executed to perfection, Acqua is a must-visit. Highly recommended!
