Only needed to be here one night as I had an early ferry ride to another island. I am not fancy by any stretch and I’ve happily stayed at off the grid accomodations. This place has been hastily built and everything is broken and doesn’t work. Not sure how anyone is giving it positive reviews. 4 flights of stairs to get to our room. It’s small and cute but okay.
Bathroom makes no sense and everything including toilet paper will get wet. There’s no sink in bathroom and no where to hang a single towel. For one night we make it work but as soon as we go to take a shower the plumbing is useless a drain is backed up and filling up the bathroom and we fear it’ll flood the main room. Not only does it not drain down the drain but the bathroom is so badly built with missing grout we can see it drain away slowly into the actual wall. Now I understand why the bed is on a platform next door with a trap door and vents underneath probably to deal with the leaking water.
We stopped the shower and went downstairs to seek help. Staff were polite but very unsurprised like this happens all the time. Staff member comes to room and gets a bag of salt and stick and pours the salt down the flooded drain. It’s gurgling and coughing up what I can only imagine is sewerage all over the bathroom floor. It stinks. Staff said it’s fixed now but if it happens again pull out drain fixture and put your hands down to unblock it. I let him know there’s no way I will be unblocking the drain with my bare hands. We ask him to stay while we test it and it blocks up immediately. He says sorry but that’s just how it is and can’t be fixed. I had to push him to understand that for a boutique hotel that we are paying to stay at the very least we expect is a functional bathroom so we can shower. Especially after a long day of travel and ahead of another day of travel. I ask for room change & he says no we are full. So I say okay we will have to go elsewhere then . Surprise now there is another free room.
We move down to another room that is windowless and feels like a basement you’d be kept hostage in. Room smells of sewerage too. Every part of it is broken and non-functional. This is not a hotel. It’s the landlord special on an empty office block with unqualified and unskilled trades wrapped up nicely on the bottom with some fresh juice pretending to be something it isn’t. Worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in and I’m a seasoned traveler that has happily stayed in a place with no running water when it’s honest, transparent and priced accordingly. Beware it was a horrible experience and so far the worst place I’ve stated...
Read moreI had a wonderful 6-night stay at your hotel, and overall, it was a truly enjoyable experience! The room designs are so varied and stylish, with plenty of space that made everything feel comfortable and relaxed. The cleanliness was spot on, and I really appreciated the staff's thoughtful reminder upon check-in about requesting fresh pillows or linens if needed—it made me feel well taken care of right from the start.
The value for money is fantastic; honestly, at this price point, there's very little to complain about. The breakfast was delicious every morning, and the complimentary fruit platter was a lovely touch. Sipping my coffee in that cozy, inviting atmosphere while enjoying the meal was the perfect way to start the day—10/10 comfort!
That said, I have a couple of small suggestions that, if addressed, could make the stay even more seamless for future guests. First, since there's no elevator, the team was super helpful carrying my luggage up during check-in, which I truly appreciated. However, during check-out, it seemed a bit short-staffed, so I ended up making two trips down with my bags to the lobby. It wasn't a huge deal, but a little extra support there would go a long way for folks with heavier loads.
Second, I noticed the building right across from the hotel has a stainless steel panel near the window that looks a bit precarious, and at night, the wind makes it creak with a sound like distant thunder. It didn't bother my sleep much, but it did make me a tad uneasy thinking about the parked cars below—especially mine! I mentioned this to the front desk, but the response felt a little dismissive. I know it's not directly on your property, but as a guest-focused hotel, prioritizing safety by getting it checked out soon would really put minds at ease and show how much you care about everyone's well-being.
Thank you again for a memorable stay—I'll definitely recommend you to friends and hope to...
Read moreAlthough the overall stay was not too bad, we were hoping for a better room with a good service since this place was on the more expensive side.As for the room, it was very small, the shower and the toilet was together, without any curtains to separate the running water from wetting the toilet, it was very annoying. Not much amenities were provided, no fridge, no soap, no toothbrushes and whatsoever in the room, only shampoo and shower gel were included for the bathroom, and 2 towels per person. The sink was not inside the bathroom, the bedside desks were dusty and some tiny bugs were running on it when we placed a cup on top of it.When we first came inside the room, the room has a strong room spray deodorant odor, which was not very pleasant.Although the deodorant went away after some time, we could smell something weird/bad (idk how to describe the odor, but it was similar to a baby piss) in the morning from the bed.We figured it might have been the reason why they sprayed lots of room deodorant when we first came inside the room. The first guy who helped us check in was very friendly and nice, but in the morning, the girls who took our order for the breakfast were not so professional. They served some other customers who came in after us, not sure if that was intentional or not, but not...
