It was Mother's Day. My son found this incredibly beautifully decorated restaurant with antique furniture , English plate settings from Royal Albert. The restaurant also featured painted murals which added that old world feel to the restauran. They also had a singer that serenaded us throughout dinner. They just recently opened about three months old and only accepts cash. The service was very attentive and the food was just incredible. One of the best Thai food I have eaten in Thailand and worth taking the Grab there to try them out. We had the curry crab noodles which was my favorite. They did not cheap out on the big chunks of crab meat. We also had the Tom Kha Kai soup which I thought could used more sour so I asked for some lime on the side. The tamarind fish was huge and meaty but it could have been more crispy and could have had more tamarind in its sauce to give it a bit more sour taste to it also. But my husband and son found that it tasted perfect. Taste is subjective .Their special house salad with seafood and sea grapes was delicious and had the perfect amount of salty and sweet in the sauce. They also gave us a complimentary appetizer with something savory on top of a small piece of pineapple which I absolutely loved and if it was on their menu I would have ordered more. For dessert they gave us a complimentary dessert of snow ice with butterfly pea syrup. It was beautifully presented at the table and watching them assemble it all together added a nice finishing touch to the entire meal and feel like you were in five star...
Read moreRecommendation from our hostel for true Southern Thai food and it did not disappoint! The restaurant is set in the style of a Thai grandmother's dining room with fine china and grand tables alongside trinkets on sideboards. The staff were super helpful choosinh our dishes which included the Fried Watercress, Pork Stew, Wing bean and Prawn Salad and 2 Steamed Rice which were all excellent. First, we received a complimentary appetizer of Phuket pineapple with a chicken and peanut ball which was delightful. When the food arrived the staff stressed how all of the ingredients came from local vendors and were super attentive. We also didn't realize that we would receive a complimentary palate cleanser which was chipped ice, snake fruit syrup and palm fruits but before that we were equally surprised to have a free dessert because "Mum had some extra white bananas from her garden" so we also enjoyed warm coconut milk and garden-grown white bananas. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a truly authentic experience in delightful...
Read moreThis was hands down the best restaurant I tried during my stay in Phuket. From the moment I walked in, I was taken by the antique-imperial ambiance — it felt like stepping into a royal dining room from another era.
The standout dish for me was the crab curry — absolutely impeccable. Rich, fragrant, and perfectly balanced, it alone is worth the visit. But what truly elevated the experience was the service. The staff were incredibly polite and kind, always smiling and attentive without being intrusive.
To my surprise and delight, they also offered a variety of complimentary dishes throughout the meal, including a beautifully presented royal appetiser called Ma Haw, traditionally served to kings. It was such a thoughtful touch that made the evening feel truly special.
