A Taste of Italy in Phuket: Marni Phuket Review
During our recent visit to Phuket, we stumbled upon Marni Phuket, a quaint Italian restaurant that serves up delicious and authentic Italian cuisine. We were blown away by the flavors, hospitality, and overall dining experience, and we can't wait to share our review with you!
Margarita Pizza: The Margarita Pizza was a revelation - a perfect blend of flavors and textures that left us wanting more. The crust was crispy and well-cooked, with just the right amount of crunch. The tomato sauce was made with fresh, flavorful tomatoes that added a burst of juicy sweetness to each bite. And the mozzarella cheese was creamy and rich, melted to perfection and adding a velvety smoothness to the pizza. Each bite was a masterclass in balance and flavor, with each component working together in perfect harmony.
Rigatoni Pasta in Arrabiatta Sauce: The Rigatoni Pasta in Arrabiatta Sauce was another standout dish, showcasing the chef's skill and attention to detail. The pasta was cooked al dente, with just the right amount of firmness and texture. The Arrabiatta sauce was made with fresh tomatoes, garlic, and red pepper flakes, giving it a spicy kick and a deep, rich flavor. The sauce was perfectly balanced, with a subtle sweetness from the tomatoes and a slow-building heat from the red pepper flakes. Each bite was a delight, with the pasta and sauce working together in perfect harmony.
Hospitality: 5/5 The service at Marni Phuket was top-notch. The staff were warm and welcoming, and they went above and beyond to ensure that we had a wonderful dining experience. As a special touch, they even provided us with complimentary gelato, which was the perfect way to cap off our meal.
Verdict Marni Phuket is a must-visit for anyone craving authentic Italian cuisine in Phuket. With its delicious food, wonderful hospitality, and cozy atmosphere, it's the perfect spot to enjoy a romantic dinner or a night out with friends. Be sure to try the Margarita Pizza and Rigatoni Pasta in Arrabiatta Sauce - you won't be disappointed!

Read moreThe restaurant looks beautiful from the outside stylish and trendy, just like something you’d expect to see on social media. And yes, I admit I was one of those people who got drawn in by its image. I had never been here before, but since it was my friend’s birthday, I made a reservation for two on October 3, 2025, at 7:30 PM.
Let’s begin.
The service was absolutely unprofessional. The moment I arrived, I glanced toward the corner building it looked cozier and more inviting than the first zone. But before I could even take a proper look, one staff member rushed over with a serious expression, as if to say, “You definitely can’t sit there!” Apparently, it was full. I didn’t mind that at all; I only wanted to admire the décor for a second. I was fine sitting anywhere. But the way she approached me so harsh and unfriendly instantly made me uncomfortable. I didn’t even dare to walk further in to see that area again.
The staff lacked warmth and friendliness. Throughout the meal, not a single person smiled or made me feel welcome. The atmosphere was tense, and their blank stares made the entire experience feel awkward and unpleasant.
3.In my booking, I simply requested one small candle because it was my friend’s birthday. I didn’t expect any singing or surprise — I even brought a lighter myself to quietly light it and take a small photo together. But there was no effort from the staff at all. I understand we may not be “VIP” guests, but in any restaurant that truly values its customers, there are always thoughtful ways to create a pleasant experience.
The pizza was the worst I’ve had in Phuket. The crust wasn’t light or crispy it was thick, chewy, and poorly made. I’m a pizza lover and have tried many places around the island, but this one was truly disappointing. It looked nice, but clearly lacked proper quality control from an Italian chef.
In conclusion: This place is all about appearances beautiful on the outside but hollow inside. The staff’s cold eyes and robotic service ruined what was supposed to be a special evening. The owner seriously needs to train the team and instill real hospitality standards.
I would never recommend this restaurant to anyone I know, and I will never return myself. Such a shame that a place with so much potential left such a terrible impression on what was supposed to be a...
Read moreI love the pizza. Often order in grab but today (5.45 April 2) was our first time eating in. Kombucha great. Pizza great. Look over to the kitchen and pizza boy is seated getting his hair done by the waitress in the pizza prep area. If i saw that before ordering I would have walked out but we ordered already. Kitchen is for cooking not hairdressing. Other thing is ordering grab sometimes the drivers have nowhere to actually fit the pizza and end up carrying it like a suitcase which is pretty heartbreaking to recieve. Particularly as it should be the riders responsibility but grab has no complaint features. Regardless of this I appreciate the knowledge and work someone has invested in producing such a nice product. A lot of different factors need to come together for it to be unique like this. All the people saying it's burnt or bitter? don't understand that this is neopolitan pizza and would be better eating a different style of pizza. Cost a little higher than average pizza perhaps but the ingredients are quite good quality. I'd like to see more pizza choices. Vongole bit salty - They don't need extra salt. Giancale carbonara is yum and a nice change from bacon. Atmosphere is cafe-ish. Parking - lots of space for bikes and a few for cars but Phuket town is quite difficult everywhere. This is actually good as it at least has a few. Lots of shops in town have...
