We booked the hotel thru Agoda as it’s shows Free Parking on their first amenities. Who knows? When we arrived at the hotel and tried to check in, the lady staff in the photo asked us to park somewhere nearby that need to pay 20THB per hour. At that moment, I felt confusing that I might misunderstood what she had said, so I brought my mum (she is Thai) over to communicate with the lady staff again. The lady staff still say the same thing that their parking lots are unavailable, asked us to park somewhere else. So my mum asked her nicely if we can cancel our booking instead? Because it’s unreasonable for us to pay the parking fee for so many hours. Then the lady staff responded with :” ya sure! Which website you book the hotel room, you just contact them for refund directly.” So we left immediately and tried to find other hotel nearby with free parking. At that time, I already felt a bit cheated because of the hotel doesn’t have free parking as they shown in Agoda. And I am travelling with my young son and my mum, it’s really kind of spoil my mood because we still need to spend more time to find other hotel and it’s town area, we also worried that other hotel will be fully booked. Luckily we found other hotel nearby, so after check in to that hotel, we contact Agoda for refund. Agoda customer service was quite helpful, after she understand the situation, she asked us to hold the call as she need to get double confirm with the hotel side. After 5mins, Agoda customer service told us that Hotel refuse to refund, and denied the situation we mention, hotel still say that they have 2 parking lots now and asked us to go back to check in! We was so shocked about hotel response! So we decided to go back to the hotel to confront the lady staff face to face with Agoda customer service on call. When we went back to hotel, the lady staff still have face to tell us that :” ya, I told you to contact Agoda for refund, but this parking issue is not under our Terms and Conditions, so we can refuse to refund!” Wah! That moment I was really 😱😱, so surprised that she can say out such of things. She is the one who asked us to contact Agoda for refund, yet she knew that if she not agree with the refund, Agoda couldn’t refund us! Luckily their manager Pon, came out to talk to us. He was very nice and apologised to us directly after he understand the situation. Luckily Pon was there to come out to solve everything,Otherwise we might need to call police instead. And might waste more time just because of the lady staff. ||Anyway, if you guys happen to face the similar situation, please don’t hesitate to call police as the lady staff said their CCTV are...
Read moreWe left our bags at the hotel about 10.30am. We wanted to check in so that we can be allocated to the better rooms and not the "balance" rooms. (former hotel staff)However, we were told to just leave the bags and checked in when we came back. We came back only 12 hours later. We booked for 3 nights. But ended up staying for 2 hours. Because it is that horrible. I have stayed in cheap hotels for the convenience and prior to this hotel, we spent a night at a hostel and it was SO MUCH CLEANER. Please find photos attached. 1. Ants on bedsheets/towels.-first occasion, "ok nvm, prolly i brought it from outside"-second and consecutive occasions "NOPE I AM OUT OF HERE"2. Toilets- it is a far cry from pictures shown. Pictures on the internet shows really clean toilets, no black, algae stains. Will attach photos for this.3. Fridge -leaking inside, at this point im just wondering if everything was cleaned.4. WRONG ALLOCATION OF ROOM-I booked for a double even though there was alot of options for 2 single bed. I booked for a double - this is not a request. I understand when there are options for requests for eg. non smoking/smoking. This was not. When i unlocked my hotel room and called them. Their reason "we are fully booked??" and they can only moved me the next day. So after we confirmed a reservation at another hotel, we checked out to get our deposit back. The staff only asked what happened. I simply said "we cannot stay in the room anymore, just cannot." He just said ok.Honestly, the worst...
Read moreThe maps for this hotel are not great. To find it, go almost to the end of Soi Petchburi 15, it's on the right. The building is labeled as MYHOTEL with a smaller Zen Rooms sign at the front.
The main area is about 4.5m square, with a 4m x 1m shower/toilet.
The bed is comfortable, the windows open, there is a stocked bar fridge - prices are a little more than 7-11, but not too bad. The breakfasts are quite nice. I found the staff very helpful and happy to answer any question.
The AC was a little troublesome, with the remote showing the required temp, but the unit not giving it - making the room either single digit cold or close to 30C.
Petchburi Rd is a 400 - 500m walk. THe hotel has it's own 6 or 8 seat tuk-tuk, a taxi service & a van. The taxi is 500THB to Suvarnabhumi airport. If you go to the top of the soi and walk along the trainline (watch out for trains, it's a used line) the Ratchaprarop BTS is about 850m. You can get a tuk-tuk to is if you prefer. Pratunam market is close by, as is the Isetan mall near Chid Lom BTS - both are an easy walk.
If you need laundry done, out of the hotel toward the train line there is a few coin operated washing machines run by an aged lady. This are far cheaper than the 40 - 60THB per item in the hotel.
There are plenty of street food stalls around, some are better than others but may cost a little more. Family Mart & 7-11 are close by.
It is a reasonably convenient location, and I would be happy to stay...
