Warm, welcoming and above and beyond service. A MUST stay!!
If you are staying in Goreme, THIS IS THE PLACE TO STAY. You will receive true Turkish hospitality where you feel like family!
From even before our stay, Azad's hospitality was amazing. He whatsapped us to introduce himself, welcome us and sorted out our transfer from the airport which was so well organised.
Hospitality: From the day we got to the hotel, the service we received from Azad and all of the employees at Caverna was so warm and hospitable, smiling at us always and eager to help in any way such as carrying our bags, getting us water and making us a delicious breakfast!! Nothing was too much and they know exactly how to make you feel like you're on holiday.
Location: The hotel is in a perfect location, a 5 minute walk from the centre so easy enough to walk to but far enough that it is so peaceful. There is also another hotel 50 metres away with a pool that you can use which is great to cool off in the hot weather
Breakfast/Room: The breakfast every morning was slightly different so great for variety. During our stay, we had pancakes, fresh omelette, fresh bread, a variety of jams, a selection of spreads like honey and chocolate spread fruit, delicious coffee, even chips! 😅 The room that we had was a cave and SO cool!!! It was clean, spacious and cool in the hot weather. Every appliance is brand new and great quality from the marble sinks to the very powerful shower!
The design of the hotel is modern, chic with wonderful touches of Turkish culture like wall paintings and hand made rugs.
The Terrace: The view from the terrace is gorgeous where you can see the fairy chimneys. We highly recommend waking up at 5/5.15am to watch the sunrise and the hot air baloons. It is a great spot to watch them and truly mesmerising. We spent some evenings here just hanging out and relaxing which was so serene. On our last morning, we woke up and there was a hot air balloon so near we were having a conversation with them!😅
Booking tours: We booked ALL of our tours through Caverna which was really easy, efficient and reasonably priced. Azad took care of all of it and all the pick ups were on time, the staff so friendly and each tour so worth it!! (We did the hot air balloon, the Green Tour, an ATV tour and a hammam to which Azad kindly dropped us to).
Thank you to EVERYONE at Caverna. You gave us a once in a life experience that has made us want to come back. We're so glad we picked this hotel above any other. We highly...

I have to start with Mr. Azat and his staff. From Azat, to Burak, and Miraç, as well as the lovely ladies who cooked breakfast fresh each morning, they are all just wonderful, gracious, and kind. They helped arrange our airport transfers, tours, and beyond that, we thoroughly enjoyed just chatting with them to get to know each other better. One morning before our tour, we just wanted to grab a banana (instead of having a big breakfast), but they didn’t have them that day. Mr. Azat, with no hesitation, hopped on his scooter and bought us a bunch. That’s pure heart.
The hotel itself is a wonderment. After a long travel day, walking up to the warm glow of the hotel was pure joy. Warmly lit, inviting, felt like home.

It is beyond spacious (about 3.5x the size of our room in Paris!), and the biggest plus was the private terrace reserved just for our room. The views of Goreme, and the balloons each day and night were magical. We also loved the hidden screen door which let us have some fresh air on those beautiful mornings and evenings. Ps. It has aircon as well, but we rarely needed it.
Breakfast was fantastic as well. It’s not the usual buffet style. Each morning, you come down and see those lovely ladies cooking away. You have a seat, and a parade of freshly made goodies arrive, some variation each day. We particularly loved the homemade mulberry and strawberry jams. Yes, homemade. Great brewed coffee, teas, and Turkish coffee at your request.
The location of the hotel is great too. It’s just off the main commercial street, just far enough to be quiet and tranquil, but close bough that you can walk to the center of town in about 6 minutes. Also noteworthy that it’s a high enough elevation to get a great view, it’s not at the top of a steep hill to make the nightly return after dinner a debatable endeavor.
We expect to revisit Goreme as the Cappadocia region is such a different cultural aspect to the Turkish people than Istanbul. It’s like visiting family. When we do come back, we will definitely...
Read moreThis is an amazing, stylish place with the greatest rooftop view to the village - we recommend it 100%.
Although this place is wonderful, the best thing there are hosts - each employee was so nice to us, and helpful, and worked as they own the place. We felt that they really care about us, our trip and staying there. Big advantage is that the owner and manager of the hotel is working there and takes care about everything. He also previously was a tourism guide and helped us with information about places where to go. The place is new and if someone is still able to get a better pricing this season, than it is a nobrainer to choose this place instead of other hotels in Goreme - they will make sure that You will enjoy Your staying in Goreme, Cappadocia.
We got a very special treatment:
