After a lot of research, ended up picking Divan Cave Hotel in Cappadocia. Was traveling with family (young kids) and stayed here for 2 night in late December during the NYE rush, hence paid premium prices for a triple room which otherwise goes for one third the price.
Few things which were a bit of surprise to me:
Breakfast spread was good (you could order eggs dishes other than the buffet they serve), staff was okay, we didn’t had the great experience which other guests did here from the breakfast staff. And yes no Cappuccino (not even paid) but they do provide coffee with milk as an option.
Abdullah was great and helpful, kind and considerate, which is why we are giving our stay an average rating. It wasn’t a great start but we had a comfortable stay, all thanks to Abdullah!
I would not come to this property again (especially with kids), there are many similar type of properties in Cappadocia! We felt this was the best option after our research but this is not really the case based on our experience. I would suggest to pick an...
Read moreWe spent three beautiful nights at Divan Cave Hotel in Cappadocia, starting with my husband’s birthday and it turned out to be so memorable. From the moment we arrived, the staff made us feel truly welcome.
The real highlight of our stay was Doa, an absolute gem of this property. She is incredibly sweet, kind, and genuine, always ready to help . She went out of her way to make our experience memorable, and we’re so grateful for her warmth and generosity. Anyone visiting should meet her, she will take good care of her.
We also want to sincerely thank Ahamed at the restaurant, who made our last morning extra special. We had an early flight, and instead of just handing us a takeaway breakfast box, he woke up early and set up a full breakfast table just for the two of us. What truly amazed us was that it was either his day off or he was not suppose to report so early, yet he went out of his way to make sure we had the best breakfast table even on the last morning. His kindness, commitment really stood out and made a lasting impression. Thank you so much for your brilliant service Ahamed.
We booked a Junior Suite, which was spacious and beautifully designed in a cave style. The terrace views were absolutely gorgeous, especially at night, perfect for relaxing after a day full of activities.
The breakfast buffet was impressive, with a good spread and delicious food. While the overall stay was fabulous, a couple of small things to note: housekeeping could be more detailed in certain areas, and the entrance to our room had a slight odor, possibly due to nearby drainage, though it didn’t significantly affect our experience.
In short, Divan Cave Hotel is a warm, romantic, property with excellent service, beautiful interiors, and a prime location. I love their interior. It’s great value for money, and we would absolutely recommend it to anyone...
Read moreWe stayed here for 2 nights and narrowed down on the hotel based on its ranking on travel platforms.
I did a terrible mistake of booking a room with twin beds - should have called them earlier to fix that or requested a change but forgot. So was quite disappointed with the room (it was tiny and cramped) and its largely myself that I have to blame. If you plan to stay here, don’t go for the base category and I would recommend the cave rooms if you have the budget.
While I quoted the only negative first, everything else here was flawless otherwise. They organise private and group transfers. The group transfers are easier on your wallet and worked like a charm. Group tours and baloon tours : we booked both of these from the hotel directly. While I am sure somebody could have managed a better bargain elsewhere, the quality of these experiences were completely unique. The balloons weren’t excessively crowded and eventhough we were just two couples for the mixed tour, the tour went on. Special mention to the guide - he works as a freelancer and seemed to have a tie up with divan cave. Very well informed, well spoken, patient and friendly. Breakfasts - all dished made fresh and served hot in the morning. While the spread is limited, there was nothing on the their buffet that I would not want a second serving of. Service - they mostly had just one person or so at the reception but always managed to surprise me at how quick the responses to request were. The staff were the kindest we met in the entire trip across Turkey. Rooftops - while they did not have a functional restaurant on the rooftop, the bar was open in the evenings. The rooftop offers great view of the baloons in the morning and rock formations through the day.
Highly recommend Divan cave house if you are planning a visit...
