This hotel offers a lifetime experience. I don’t know why in Cappadocia hotels arent star-rated, but I’d give lunar 5 stars for sure. So I’m gonna talk about one thing at a time, i hope i don’t miss anything.
Room: Spacious. Very spatious. It’s the real cave experience you are getting here, it really is built inside the mountain. You can tell that only quality materials were used for the furniture. Their motto on their website is “100% different sleep” and they are right, there beds and couches are amazingly cosy. The room is floor heated so even though you step on marble(i think) in a cave, you do not step on something cold at all. You can get just the right amount pf heat. Also, it was really, really clean. The maids were extremely nice and precise, they even folded our chlotes and simetrically alligned stuff on the table. New water bottles, tea and coffe, sugar, towels, shampoo bottles, ear sticks and more were bought to our room daily, even if we hadn’t finished the last ones.
View: just amazing. It is located near the best hotels in town and there is no need to explain that it shows you everything Goreme has to offer and does that on traditional rugs and pillows.
Breakfast: a ton of well cooked options for a hotel of this size. They even cook you something on the spot if you ask them. Also, they have brand juices for free (like cappy, fanta, sprite etc).
Last but definetely not least: Staff. These people are simply magical. Everyone speaks english very well. They gave us maps and brochures and helped us plan our visit. They helped us book a transfer from the airport and said that if we do not want to go with the company they collaborate with, they can search others for us. They helped us book a car. We just had to ask and in a few ours someone from the company was at our door, ready to rent it. Again, they called multiple companies just to make sure we are pleased. They even helped us organise a birthday surprise for our 18 years old chlild: they managed to get cake, candles, champagne and helped us get ready. All we had to do was to ask and they were so happy to help. On top of that they surprised us with a packed breakfast the last day. I’m telling you, i have never seen this much kindness anywhere.
Lunar is the right choice, trust me. I’d be so happy if this review makes someone book their room here. Everyday we were more and more amazed and i hope we get to come here again someday. Only love...
Read moreExceptional Stay at Lunar Cappadocia Hotel - Highly Recommended!
We just left from an absolutely magical stay at Lunar Cappadocia Hotel with our family of five (three kids), and I cannot recommend this place highly enough!
Location & Views: The hotel's location is simply perfect - perched high up on a hill offering the most spectacular views of Cappadocia's fairy chimneys. We were able to watch the hot air balloons from our room each morning, which was absolutely breathtaking and a highlight of our trip. Despite being elevated for those stunning views, the hotel is still conveniently close to the heart of town and within easy walking distance to numerous restaurants and attractions, including a wonderful Turkish bath we visited.
Staff & Service: The staff here are exceptionally friendly and knowledgeable about the area. They went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable, and it was no problem at all that we arrived quite late - they welcomed us warmly and got us settled in quickly. They also thoughtfully provided bottled water for our family every day, which was greatly appreciated.
Accommodations: Our room was spacious and perfect for our family of five, with plenty of room for everyone to spread out comfortably. Each room comes with its own private seating area outside, which we loved using to enjoy the beautiful surroundings. The hotel grounds are beautifully maintained and well-kept throughout.
Amenities: The buffet breakfast was delicious with a great variety, and the fresh omelets were a particular hit with our family. The hotel also has the most adorable dogs on the property that our kids absolutely fell in love with - they added such a sweet touch to our stay. Free parking made traveling with our rental car incredibly convenient and stress-free.
Value: For the quality of service, location, and amenities provided, this hotel offers excellent value for money. The combination of the magical location, clean and comfortable accommodations, outstanding staff, and reasonable pricing makes this an unbeatable choice.
The entire experience felt truly magical, and Lunar Cappadocia Hotel played a huge part in making our Cappadocia adventure unforgettable. We would definitely stay here again and recommend it to anyone visiting this incredible...
Read moreFirst the bad which is not the fault of the hotel owners and staff. The location is great but google maps will bring you to the wrong road (against traffic). Second the things that could have been better, the breakfast could have benefitted from some warm offerings but as I travelled through Turkiye's Winter destinations, it's quite common and it's likely not their fault as it seems to be tradition though hot Lentil Soup in the morning could be quite nice but the kitchen staff are amazing and the food was good as it was. Now the good, everything about this hotel is perfection minus the breakfast buffet which was a 4/5. Rooms are lovely, Ensar is amazing, every one in the staffing list is amazing as well and the owners were warm and welcoming and goes out of his way to spend time with guests for a chat. The bathroom is to die for, water is perfect, room is cosy and comfortable, great views, great garden, beautifully walkable as if you're disconnected from society beyond the gates but still have so much exploration you can do in the hotel. All in all, whenever I go to cappadocia, I will always stay here and I yearn to go back every month I recall my trip there. One of the best experiences of my life and that coming from a person who brokers and charters planes for VVIPs and have stayed in prestigious places like Sunway Resort, the Khalifa, Club Med and every signature hotels including gimmics like the ice hotel. What an amazing place, hotel, team and experience.
Edit: They are also great aid to cats in the area, takes good care of them and trains them well to behave and will never intrude on you. We welcomed a few into our rooms during winter nights and they were cuddly and non violent. Watching them climb the cave walls after breakfast with a warm tea in hand was such a nice...
