I’m sorry to leave another negative review. I left a similar review about a month ago, but somehow, the restaurant managed to obtain our personal information, specifically which hotel we were staying at. They tracked us down and asked the hotel staff to have us remove the review, even offering a refund for the meal, which we declined. I’m not sure how they got my personal information, but this is incredibly creepy and disturbing. I had to leave this review after leaving the town.
To the restaurant: If you notice issues with your service or food, please address them. If you think my review is unfair, please report it to Google Maps. Tracking me down to where I stayed to make me remove an honest comment is not acceptable.
Here is my original review:
The food is OK, but the service is way below average for Turkey. Throughout our trip in Turkey, most restaurant services were nice and hospitable, but this one was definitely not. We sat there for about 5-10 minutes (and it wasn’t because they were busy, as we were one of only two groups in the restaurant) and no one brought us water or bread, or took our order. We had to walk to the counter to place our order.
Additionally, there were ants for indoor dining and flies for outdoor dining. I know this is a common issue for many restaurants in town this summer, but it still negatively impacted...
Read moreDon’t recommend this place and as well as many review writers can confirm that reviews are misleading. Don’t be fooled by them. Had our last dinner in Goreme there. Relied on the reviews in google maps. The place is nice, the atmosphere also, stuff is friendly and polite. However, the food (except ravioli) is nothing special. The fish was too small for the price. The smallest we have got in Turkish restaurant. Testi kebab was not made in a traditional way. I asked for mashed potatoes for garnish. The waiter confirmed. Then i have got rice and said that i asked for mash before. After a while they brought me french fries, i have declined it, they said they have no mash so wee agreed on rice. After 15 mins i asked about the garnish and it seemed they forgot to bring even my rice. All in all ravioli seemed nice. Chupra - average. Testi kebab - not good at all. They put supermarket french fries inside of the pottery dish. Haven’t understood the idea. You can put proper fresh potatoes, but french fries🤦🏻♀️ Also i asked for yogurt cause the dish was tasteless and.. the brought me tahini. Which i hate. Prices are higher than in the same level restaurants in Goreme. Haven’t even photoed the food and the...
Read moreI find it hard to post a bad review but sadly this restaurant passed the threshold. Overpriced just because it can. We had hummus which was cold (not fresh) and tasteless and came with bread that was chewy and also tasteless. The hummus starter only came with a few carrot and cucumber pieces - other restaurants in the area at this price provide lots of little salad dishes at this price. The main, Turkish ravioli (manti) was a very large portion, which would be a good thing if it was any good. Sadly, compared to other places is was bland and watery. The service was friendly to start with but due to the layout of the restaurant (a terrace with no view) we could never get their attention and they very rarely came out to the terrace to check on guests (there were only two couples in the rest at the time so it was quiet). If this restaurant was half the price then there would be something good to write about value but we simply left feeling...
