Tried couple of hotels in Cappadocia and this one is the best for me which has everything you would need (a nice room to stay with really good breakfast, a terrace and rooftop with the best view, shuttle service, restaurants recommendation, booking tours and so much more).
The hotel is a family owned since 1823. Ibrahim and Irfan take care of the guests, their mother takes care of the kitchen and father does the errands. Really great and kind family.
They serve really good breakfast. And they do serve a lot. Its really too much for us to finish everything they put on our table. Thank you Miraj for your good service.
They have 2 separate rooftops (with 2 different setups each) connected in the upper level and the higher one does have a breakfast setup for picture taking purpose. They dont get crowded with other people than hotel guests coz they dont allow outside visitors. And thats really good. Hotel guests can take advantage of the fantastic views with their beautiful setup.
They had our balloon flight (with butterfly balloon 180 Euro per passenger - price differs on certain months) and guided city tour (55 euro per guest) exclusive for hotel guest arranged so well that I dont need to look and contact a third party company.
Balloon flight went well. It is a 100% recommended to book through them. They dont take payment, you will pay directly to the company. The rate includes breakfast, a medal and certificate and wine party after flying. They will also pick and drop you off to the hotel.
For the guided city tour, Bilal who is a freelance is very well knowledgeable English spoken guide and really really good in his profession, he shared a lot of stories and facts about many things. He is a very good tour guide and very kind. Just a hint, he might bring you to a jewellery shop called Goreme Onyx near to the Pigeon Valley which sells a zultanite stone and other stuff. Please do your research well as I felt cheated by the shop. Doesnt feel i got a real pure stone. Bilal wont force you to buy and you dont have to. It will be up to you. The issue i had was the stone does changed colors in the shop during presentation but in reality when we left the shop, the stone never change its colors. Impulse buying got me as they looked sooo beautiful 🥹 - noting this has nothing to do with the hotel.
The shuttle service was arranged by them as well with Goreme transfer company for 10 euro per passenger. It was shared with many guests from different hotels so you might get freak out as I did if you feel you would miss your flight due to many stops. If you are departing from Nevsehir, arriving one hour before flight is good enough. The check in counter and bording gate is within the same floor and just separated by a wall. And the boarding opens just 20 minutes...
Read moreI usually get too lazy to write reviews, but this hotel and its tours were so wonderful that I felt I should share all the good things with others.
This hotel has so many strengths. First of all—the terrace view is incredible. Located on a higher spot, it overlooks all of Göreme, so you can watch the sky fill with hot air balloons at sunrise—it’s truly spectacular. Since there are several terraces, it never felt crowded, unlike other hotels nearby where guests had to wait in line for photos. Here, we practically had the terraces to ourselves and took hundreds of photos. The terraces are spacious, so photos come out beautifully—and if you’re lucky, cats will wander in, making the perfect photo with both balloons and cats!
Secondly, the quality of the tours arranged by the hotel is outstanding. Like most visitors, we joined the Green Tour and later the Red Tour, both run as small-group tours exclusively for hotel guests. This made a huge difference: clean vehicles, relaxed pace, and no wasted time picking up guests from other hotels. We even started visiting sites earlier than the big tour buses, so we enjoyed them without the crowds. Our guide was excellent—so much so that we booked both tours with him, and I’m glad we did. Honestly, the combination of this terrace and these charming tours alone makes booking this hotel absolutely worth it.
Breakfast deserves a special mention—it’s simply amazing. The portions are generous, everything tastes delicious, and there’s so much variety, especially the desserts. The sweet pancakes were my favorite—I seriously wanted to ask for the recipe! Staff constantly checked if we needed more, and happily brought extra dishes when we asked.
The rooms are also excellent: spacious, clean, with strong A/C, great water pressure, comfortable bedding, and plenty of amenities.
Finally, the hospitality here is outstanding. The staff were always attentive, quick to respond, and helped us with balloon bookings, tours, and shuttles. After checkout, they kindly stored our luggage and even invited us to relax on the terrace with tea and lemonade while waiting for our evening flight. Their warmth made our last hours in Cappadocia truly memorable.
I didn’t expect to write such a long review, but there are just too many good things to mention. Stay here, and you won’t regret it—you’ll leave with...

If Cappadocia is a fairytale then Charming Cave Hotel is it's spectacular castle! We were delighted and overwhelmed by the hospitality of Ibrahim, Irfan and family. They treated us like royalty and planned our stay beautifully. We have travelled quite a lot and Charming Cave Hotel has offered the best service till date! They went out of their way to make us feel comfortable. The room was just wonderful with an array of complimentary goodies and breathtaking location. The breakfast was scrumptious with a delectable spread. By far, the best! Ibrahim and Irfan were highly involved in our travel right from the beginning and it was a pleasure to meet such amazing people! They are very warm, pleasant and amiable. Ibrahim was accommodating to every request of ours and was so glad to host us. He is highly courteous and takes pride in Cappadocia's heritage. They also packed lovely breakfast for us as we had an early flight. Not just this, Irfan was awake at the wee hours of morning to see us off and present us with a box of Turkish Delight. He also helped us coordinate with the next host at a different location. The guided walking tour and the Green Tour planned by them was a dream. The guide of Green Tour named Kaseem was knowledgeable, extremely hard-working and enthusiastic. Again, the best guide we have met. It's rare that we meet so many fantastic people in one place! I regret staying in the resort for a very short duration. Charming Cave Resort has charmed us and has set a bench mark for hospitality and service. Don't think twice to book your stay here! We are already waiting to...
