Seten Restaurant, located within the enchanting Sultan Cave Suites in Cappadocia, offers a dining experience that is nothing short of magical. Combining the rich culinary heritage of Anatolia with an elegant and warm atmosphere, it creates a setting where every moment feels extraordinary. This isn’t just a meal—it’s an artful journey into tradition and flavor, enhanced by thoughtful touches that leave a lasting impression.
A Magical Atmosphere:
The ambiance of Seten Restaurant captivates you the moment you step inside. Overlooking Cappadocia’s breathtaking landscapes, the restaurant’s design effortlessly merges rustic Anatolian charm with modern sophistication. The centerpiece of the evening was the traditional wood-burning stove, where fresh bread was heated before being served. The aroma of the bread, warm and inviting, evoked a sense of nostalgia, grounding the experience in the authenticity of Anatolian culture.
Soft lighting from hanging lamps cast a warm glow across the tables, while intricate details in the decor added to the overall charm. The panoramic view of Cappadocia’s fairy chimneys and festive decorations made the setting feel intimate and magical, a perfect backdrop for an unforgettable evening.
A Culinary Journey:
Every dish at Seten is a masterpiece, crafted with care and designed to showcase the rich flavors of Anatolia in a refined, modern way.
Mixed Meze Platter:
The evening began with an array of traditional Anatolian mezze, each offering a unique flavor profile. Creamy hummus, smoky eggplant puree, and the spicy, nutty muhammara were among the highlights. The fresh grape-leaf dolmas and yogurt-based dips added a refreshing balance to the platter. Served on a beautifully ornate silver tray, the mezze set the tone for a culinary journey steeped in authenticity and excellence.
Seten Tandır:
The Seten Tandır was another standout dish, showcasing slow-cooked lamb prepared in the most traditional way. The meat was impossibly tender, infused with aromatic spices that brought out its rich, earthy flavors. Paired with a creamy base, this dish was the embodiment of comfort and culinary perfection.
Pumpkin Creme Brûlée:
The dessert was not only delicious but also a visual spectacle. A creative twist on the classic creme brûlée, this version featured the subtle sweetness of pumpkin. The caramelized sugar crust was flambéed at the table, adding drama and excitement to the presentation. The dessert itself was a harmonious blend of rich creaminess and warm pumpkin flavors, leaving a lasting impression on the palate.
Altın Seri Rakı:
The meal was elevated by the inclusion of Altın Seri Rakı, a premium selection that perfectly complemented the dishes. Its smooth and refined taste added a touch of elegance to the experience, enhancing the rich and hearty flavors of the cuisine.
Impeccable Service and Hospitality:
The service at Seten was impeccable. The staff were not only attentive but also deeply knowledgeable, providing detailed explanations of each dish and its cultural significance. The warmth and professionalism of the team added an extra layer of joy to the evening. From ensuring the bread was served fresh from the stove to catering to every need with care, the hospitality was second to none.
Final Thoughts:
Seten Restaurant is far more than a dining experience—it’s a journey into the heart of Anatolian culture and cuisine. The seamless blend of exquisite food, enchanting ambiance, and unparalleled service creates an unforgettable experience. Every detail, from the warm bread to the pumpkin creme brûlée, is thoughtfully crafted to immerse you in the flavors and traditions of the region.

Read moreSeten was packed at dinner time. Tourists were sitting by the window or on the terrace. I was very happy because a packed restaurant rarely tastes average, and it has very high reviews on Tripadvisor, Google and other websites. Unfortunately, I was wrong.
[Mint] Environment: The restaurant is very open, with beautiful scenery and sunset, and the decoration is very tasteful.
[Candy] Value for money: Average value for money, because the food is really not delicious. | Stewed lamb leg^ It has too strong lamb smell, which may be the most unpalatable lamb I have eaten on this trip. I ate one bite and didn't eat it, my daughter ate one bite and didn't eat it, and my husband who loves meat the most ate a few bites and didn't eat it. This is very unpalatable.
| Beef tenderloin^ The beef is a bit dry and the taste is average without layers, not surprising.
| Turkish special shisha cheese baked puff pastry^ This is better, just like the usual. Fried sandwich.
| Fried meatballs^ I have eaten the same in the restaurant in Sah Saray cave suit hotel. I still like the meatballs there, because the fried meatballs here are not crispy. My family likes the meatballs here because they think the meatballs here are better marinated and have a more layered taste. I think the fried meatballs at Sah saray have a crispier skin.
|pumpkin^ The sugar pumpkin was given by the restaurant after the meal. It tasted like sugared winter melon and was very sweet. One or two bites are okay. I like the gifts very much. It increased our emotional value and added points to this unsatisfactory meal.
The overall food looks good but not delicious. The waiter. Very busy. Although the environment is first-class. The atmosphere is also good, but I don’t recommend it.

Read moreLong story short, OVERRATED and OVERPRICED for what you get: VIEW, spectacular SERVICE, terrible and very poor knowledge of English. When we went it was very crowded. CANNOT MAKE RESERVATIONS. FOOD, you can eat much better at lower priced restaurants. MY RECOMMENDATION, stop by for drinks, take pictures, but eat somewhere else.
In case you want the full version, came here for dinner on Sept 3rd with my wife and two friends after doing a search for the top-rated restaurants in Cappadocia, and what a disappointment it was.
First of, be aware that the restaurant does NOT take reservations, so we ended up waiting 45 minutes for a table, hoping it would be worth it. But we knew this up front since it is their policy, first come, first served. Try to get a table outside, the view of Goreme is spectacular.
We ordered some drinks, white wine was good but not chilled enough. For dinner hummus, stuffed grape leaves , salads, some baked vegetables with cheese (don't remember the name of the dish), and hamburger. Hummus was really good, grape leaves nothing special, and salads ok.
Hamburger was a great disappointment. How difficult is it to mess up a hamburger? I have never tried a worse hamburger in my life. Meat was awful, didn't even have cheese, and the fries were regular bag-frozen fries.
But the big prize went to the baked vegetables and the service. Something with the vegetables was wrong, they were sour. Ok, it can happen to anybody. We called the waiter, tried to explain him the problem in English, he took the plate, left, and that was it. He didn't even come back to apologize for the inconvenience and ask if we wanted something else instead. We where really upset so we payed the bill and left and my wife ended up not having dinner. At least they didn't charged for the vegetables meal.
As mentioned before, in my opinion have a glass of wine and enjoy the view, but make sure you get your lunch/dinner...
