Pros - The location and views from the terrace are amazing. Mohammad who works in the lobby was helpful, kind, and always accommodating. Cons - The rooms are clean on the surface. But behind our bed and refrigerator there was months and months worth of dust. Pillows are old and lumpy. There is no air conditioning in the rooms, so the rooms are very hot and humid. The hotel provides a “hand fan” that does little to nothing. The breakfast isn’t breakfast AT ALL. The only breakfast food provided was sugary cereal, bread, and eggs that had been sitting out. Otherwise, the “food” was just condiments. Salad toppings, crackers, and jam. Breakfast doesn’t start until 7:30am which makes NO SENSE for travelers. Do yourself a favor and just go into town and pay for breakfast. Our shower didn’t work. I asked twice for it to be fixed. Never done. Our fan stopped working. I was told someone would come to our room and they never did. The 3 women who work at the bar at their “famous terrace” simply don’t do their jobs. They’re too busy on their phones. I had to remind them that we ordered food, hookah and wine. They roll their eyes and go back to their phones. I ordered dinner and both times it came out incorrect. The sandwich I ordered was was missing half the ingredients. The woman with the black hair (we think she was the manager?) said “oh. We just don’t have the ingredients”. Then why would you let me order it???!! TWICE. Want to order hookah? Well, you’re going to half to wait until they feel like bringing it. Want more coals?? Hahahah not going to happen. I ordered hookah and when I needed more coals 45min later, the girl who has her nose pierced and blonde hair never brought them even though she said she would. I waited. And waited. Surprise she was on her phone. I said “where are the coals?” She responded “oh we don’t have any” So a guy who never actually introduced himself (are you a manager, the front desk assistant?) made it up the next night by bringing me hookah on the terrace for free. Ok that was nice. Then he proceeded to say “I’m making up for last night. Please write us a good review on the hotel” (um. What??) then he said he would treat me to a glass of wine but then said I had to pay for it. Then we had to hear some long drawn out excuse that “sometimes hotel staff just forget to do things. It’s not a big deal” Bro. Seriously? We tried to check out at 7am and no one was in the lobby. I had to run around the hotel to find a staff member. For the travelers who say “this hotel is the best” - have you actually stayed at a nice hotel before? This hotel seriously needs to train its staff correctly, they need to provide an actual breakfast, and please consider cooling the rooms...

The walk is a little steep and have lots of fast cars coming up and down so one has to be careful.||-Room:|We booked a 2 bedroom suite and our room was just below the breakfast terrace. The room was good and spacious comprising of a room with twin bed and interconnected with the 2nd room with king bed.||The king bed had its own private balcony with amazing view of the valley. One should head out in the balcony at 5:00 AM to see the balloons in the sky. The King room also had a small vanity area and spacious table chair setup with windows.||The rooms were true cave style fitted with modern amenities for comfort. Unlike other cave rooms, since these rooms had windows, they were not dark and dingy.||The entry room had a fridge and the minibar. The water kettle and tea bags. I found the service a little miss. Also since the room was just below the breakfast terrace and the viewing terrace, it had a lot of commotion and noise at 5:00 AM by other guests of the hotel.||-Bathroom and Bathing experience:|The bathroom had a water tub , and a shower enclosure. Since it is retrofit in a cave, it is not 1005 as in other five stars, but still a 9.5/10 setup. I missed an electrical point next to the washbasin to turn on my shaver and blow dryer. The blow dryer in the wall was not working properly.||The water tub was overlooking the window as well. The view is what makes up for all the laws.| |-Hotel Staff:|Extremely polite, welcoming, interactive and warm.||-Breakfast:|The breakfast area was at the top of the hotel giving best views while you enjoy breakfast. Since it’s a boutique type hotel, the spread was not very huge. Still we were accommodated by staff for whatever small needs we had. The chef and staff were interactive and more like friends.||The view at the terrace is at a cost. So in case you plan to just sit there in the evening, its not free, one has to order something and that is fair.||-Swimming Pool / Gym / Spa:|The city is famous for balloon ride and views, so pool and gym can be given a back seat. We even did not feel a need for them in our short 2 day stay.||-Special mention:|Wifi could be improved, as it had the coverage but no connectivity.||The entire hotel hotel had many places and terraces to sit and relax. All except the restaurant terrace were available for public free of charge at all times. Its fun to be in the hotel as it is made in a mountain so the terrain is a lot of ups and downs. Very interesting.||Must mention hard working staff who take heavy bags up and down for so many guests for checkin...
Terrible booking experience We make a free cancel reservation (for 4 rooms) with this hotel via booking.com. Recently, we try to cancel the booking as our flight was cancelled due to Covid-19 concern. Then, booking.com advised that we cannot get any refund from the booking because there is a additional cancellation policy which is setup by the property (booking for 3 rooms or more, deposit of one room rate is required which is non refundable). However, this cancellation requirement was marked separately, which means it is not marked under the cancellation policy. It is ridiculous for them to put the cancellation requirement out of the cancellation policy section (as this is important for customer to know before they arrange the booking. If you were me, I guess you will break this into 2 separate booking instead of one (2 rooms x 2 bookings). I don’t think anyone will make a free cancel reservation with a conflicted terms to make it become non refundable. I checked other booking channels such as Expedia/ trip.com, there is no such stupid cancellation terms. Those booking page just clearly stated the refundable/ non refundable/ partially refundable / deposit not refundable. Only booking.com show free cancellation and then show another conflicted cancellation information out of the cancellation policy section. We tried to discuss this issue with booking.com but they keep saying that it is the right/ final decision from the property (i.e. hotel itself) not agree to refund any $$ to their customer. They even not care about customer concern on health and safety because of Covid-19. Their helpful and nice face are not real. They only receive your $$ and pretend nice to your guys. I tried to deal with this hotel via email, no response at all. We tried to contact them via booking.com assistant, they just push as to booking.com. We become a “ball”, being throw here and throw there. Their handling in this issue is terrible. Don’t tell me that the hotel does not responsible to this issue. You are the one who authorise booking.com to be one of your booking channel. You should have govern the information layout in the booking agent App or website ( as it will miss lead people about the cancellation arrangement). I will not recommend anyone to choose this hotel. Such a beautiful country with this “ugly” hotel,...
