I booked two double rooms with see view for two weeks. One week has already passed; I’d like to post my review with a hope to change some things. Just be aware that the real see view concerns just executive suites, in my case it’s a partial view. At least, not what I paid for. Excellent location (2 minutes of the beach), clean and modern rooms with spacious bathroom, well working A/C (even if it’s noisy and switched off while out), polite stuff at the reception Absolutely no A/C in the hall/restaurant area while it is equipped with it. With +45, it’s impossible to have a meal inside. Since the smoking is permitted everywhere outside, it’s no pleasure to stay outside neither (there are mostly Turkish clients who smoke, and smoke badly). There is neither A/C in the elevator nor in the corridors. The breakfast is from 8 to 10 a.m., always the same. Vermicelli soup, two types of cheese and sausage, boiled eggs, herbs, tomatos/cucumbers, cheap muesli, milk, over salted omelette, orange drink (from powder), water, tea + infusions, instant coffee, melon and watermelon, often tasteless. If you arrive after 8.30 a.m., you won’t have fried eggplants or zucchini. NO PASTRIES AT ALL. Sometimes they offer the local puff rolls filled with cottage cheese, also unavailable after 8.30 a.m. There is no lunch option. The dinner costs 500 TR (10,50 euro) on place and up to 18 euro with the half-board option on booking.com. The dinner is from 7 to 9 p.m. In reality, it begins from 6 p.m. for the locals. If you arrive after 7 p.m., i.e. at the official beginning, you can also find much stuff unavailable (for instance, in my case, broccoli). The dinner is also the same: pickles, two types of salad, tomatos/cucumbers… and CHIKEN. Cooked differently, but always chicken. Once a week they offer fish. If there is also a stew, you can hardly find meat inside even if you arrive in time. And never other fruit but melon and watermelon. Never. After one week, we stopped our dinner experience at the hotel. The swimming pool is open from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m., since there are the tables close to it to have dinner. The pool is usually overcrowded; the local kids are often noisy and disrespectful. Their parents don’t care much if they shout, hustle each other or jump directly on the heads of the others … while jumping is prohibited. Also, the cushions of the lounge chairs are dirty. It is marked: no food or drinks in the pool area, but everybody is served. Two times I saw the glass broken while kids were running barefoot. The cleaning service is assured by three ladies (70 rooms at total, rather big charge). Sometimes you need to insist even to change the towels, overused, often with spots and holes (Russian speaking lady from the Central Asia may say to you: there are too little fresh towels today). The two Turkish ladies are much nicer. I never asked for cleaning my room, but nobody proposed. So, I do it myself. Wifi is extremely weak, often disappearing around 11 p.m. Impossible to surf on Youtube, just to use the messengers. I just wonder whether I will have feedback on my review or not. I guess not. For the hotel management, everything is...
Read moreWe spent one week in Royal Hill and we highly recommend this place.
If you’re looking for a hotel where you can feel a silence and you want to relax, that’s it.
Good quality rooms, really friendly staff, clean swimming pool, tasty breakfast which is different everyday with an option to buy a dinner too. We had to leave it at 4 a.m because of flight and breakfast was prepared for us too. It was thoughtful because of flight so we didn’t have to leave it at the airport.
No problem with anything. We had a little bathroom malfunction. After reporting this, 2 hours later repair team came, but it seemed to be more complicated, so they gave an option to change rooms. The new room had the same standard, same view and were prepared for our decision.
Not too much tourists made this hotel really calm. The walls are not thin, so you don’t hear neighbours (which was the main problem at other hotels). An elevator in the building (which was another problem in other hotels).
The only one problem is a beach bar which can be loud but it’s not hotel’s problem and it’s not too bothersome.
Public beach is really close to hotel, shops and restaurants too, taxi base is 50m next to hotel.
We thought about Hotel Opera, changed it to Royal Hill and it was good decision.
9.5/10 and highly recomended, for...
Read moreBooked this hotel last minute as just wanted a cheap week away . We arrived 2am in the morning to find someone in reception who very quickly got us in to our room . Rooms are very basic by European standards but the shower is very good and we got fresh bedsheets and towels every day . We were delighted to find a stocked fridge when we arrived as we were both thirsty and at a reasonable cost . The pool we had to ourselves most of the time which was great . Breakfast was not for us but most people looked like they were enjoying it . We were the only British people there . We had authentic Turkish breakfast at the Turkish village which was superb for about £10 with real fresh orange . The location is great just off the beach and local restaurants . There is also a taxi rank outside and shops all around . The receptionist was very nice and helpful the other staff did struggle to understand us but it wasn’t a problem. Thank you fir a...
