I was quite disappointed with this hotel. In terms of pros, the hotel is located right across from the water and the view from the partial view room was nice. The restaurant on the main lobby, Riviera Costa, had decent food, which is surprising given that tourist areas in many cities in Turkey have subpar food. The cleanliness is pretty good. In terms of the cons, the air conditioning in the room was hardly working. We had it set to 18 degrees and it was more like 24 degrees. The toilet bidet leaked upon using it to the point where it almost flooded the bathroom. The person who attended simply looked at it and left. They didn’t send anyone to clean up the mess, and we had to use the towels to soak up the water. We advised the front desk within a few hours of arriving and they said they’d send someone the next day for the toilet, which they did not. They sent someone to look at the AC and they advised us it was working, which it was not. They stated they had no other rooms available. In my opinion the hotel should have just issued a refund and we would have gladly stayed elsewhere as the conditions of the room were inappropriate. Instead, we were basically told to deal with it. The hotel itself only has one elevator for nine floors. The elevator has no air conditioning. The hallways have no air conditioning. The restaurant barely has air conditioning. This makes for an uncomfortable stay. The standard double room is extremely small where you could not have a regular luggage open anywhere on the floor because of the tight space. The front desk also speak very very very limited English. Although I recognize that they should not speak it anywhere near fluency, but at least one person on shift should speak it sufficiently or at a conversational level to problem solve. Their English was below conversational level, and although there were other languages from neighbouring regions that you would expect to be spoken, this was not the case. I witnessed many guests struggle to communicate with them in English or Arabic. So when we did experience the problems that we did. we found the staff to be quite dismissive. I personally would not recommend this hotel if you want a relaxing stay and decent...
Read moreUPDATE: I am in the hotel for the third time, but now we are staying for two weeks. This year, for the first time, the hotel offers half-board. The open buffet breakfast is excellent like last year, a variety of food and we like it.. Dinner is not an open buffet, but it is also delicious and very tasty. The half-board menu options are a little limited, but you'll be satisfied with everything you eat. Izgara kofte and profiterol with looots of chocolate are my favorites🙂 Otherwise, both breakfast and dinner are served in the Riviera Costa Bistro restaurant located within the hotel. Service and friendliness of the staff are at the highest level. The young staff at the reception are also so kind and helpful.. And everything else I wrote below is also valid for this year too. We have a good holiday and all recommendations for this hotel from us. .- I was in Pearly Hotel for the second time. Everything I wrote below is also valid for this year. I have a wonderful vacation. For all those who were last year and didn't like the breakfast, I'm sure they would be satisfied now. Now, breakfast is a buffet and there is delicious food for everyone's taste. Another plus and I didn't know, the hotel is pet friendly and next year I will definitely bring my toy poodle🐩... Thanks again for everything..see you.. A wonderful hotel, completely renovated and on a great location. Everything is more than I expected. Rooms are nice and clean. Cleaning and changing of towels is every day. In the bathroom they have everything as a hotel of five stars. My room has a fantastic view. Breakfast is continental, very delicious and enough for me. Yes, it is the same every day, but I do not care for it. (nobody has ever stayed hungry in Turkey 🙂 ) The hotel staff is friendly and always ready to help. They are fantastic, all young and I wish them all the best...
Read morePros: The hotel location, the amenities (pool, spa facilities) and professional /helpful staff at the reception and in the dining/eating area next to the reception Also really appreciated all the beauty products for the shower and the balcony view to the beach - very scenic especially when the sun rises and goes down
Cons: Breakfast buffet I had food poisoning soon after eating breakfast at 10 in the dining area on my first morning in the hotel. It was horrible for me during two days and I was very dehydrated. Now I cannot say this is because of the breakfast at the hotel, as it is very hard to detect which food has made me sick and it takes between 12h to days for symptoms to occur after food poisoning, thus it could have been anywhere and I don't blame the food at the hotel which was very nice. However I went back to this dining /eating area to get coffee on the last day during the breakfast buffet, and noticed the dining area was very warm and the food was not safely stored while standing there according to food safety ISO standards. It would be good to ensure that the food is handled well in the future, as there have been a lot of cases of salmonella and other food poisoning bacterial infections this summer in Antalya's top resort hotels, and in particular with buffets which are in particular easy targets for germs/ bacterial spread. The Russian-speaking lady working in the spa on level -1 was not friendly at all to all the clients, which was quite funny as it was just straight out rude sometimes. It would be good to have some initial introduction for clients on how to use the spa, without having the feeling that you are bothering her haha. Otherwise good...
